The call on Dib is quite fair.

As for the gradings on Mundine and Green, based on his previous articles, this guy clearly hates Mundine and from what I've previously read, came across as a Green fan.

It's good to see him reasonably honest in his assessment of Green's next fight.

In this case, neither of these fights is justifiable.

Anyone who mentions DJ Jazzy Jeff in a boxing article gets 5 gloves from me.

fair enough as it is for a world title fight. I am a green fan so i may be biased but what is so incredibly wrong about greens fight? the guy just fought shumenov for a world title, and green is coming down from cruiser, it is simply a tune up fight to test the waters back at lhw and see if he still has anything to offer down there. How is that unjustifiable?if he was a belt holder at lhw or a top contender i could understand that reasoning, but after his last 2 fights, and the circumstances , i think it is a bit harsh on green.

I see where you are coming from, but the fight with Santiago hardly suggests Green will be fighting for a lhw title after that, just as it is hard to believe Mundine will be fighting for a jmw title in his following fight when he is fighting Bronco McKart.

The same poor farmer named Eduardo Escobedo that was seemingly plucked from obscurity while churning butter on a Mexican farm is also the same guy that annihilated Joksan Hernandez and hammered Miguel Roman, two Mexicans that SMASHED Daniel Ruiz -- AKA the same Daniel Ruiz this **** claims was a "Gritty Mexican scrapper" and a worthy world title challenger to Will Tomlinson.

He don't know **** about boxing!

Thanks to Mike for the rant.

I like Scott Christ's stuff and although he tore Danny a new one, he did concede the fight was in some ways excusable as a test at light heavy. I'm with you Dawsoj, not too concerned about this being anything other than a confidence builder for Green.

    total rubbish

Telegraph have a big agenda when it comes to boxing.

Last week when Geales fight was reported they tried to take a dig against others. At the end of the day Geale bores the life out of sports fans, or they just dont know him, whereas the public will take interest in others because they are interesting.

    Fighting a losing battle DT.

Great stuff. Nick is on a roll, long overdue. No free rides for fighters.

Nice to see a journo tell it like it is though after his last 2 fights you can forgive Green taking on a club fighter. Especially if he is coming down in weight and intends to go OS and challenge Cleverly,Pascal at LHW. Geale is at least trying to unify and test himself overseas against the best kind of like KT did. Time will tell if he is successful. I don't normally read boxing articles written by the Telecrap so thanks gambler for alerting me to Nick Walshaw and kudos to Nick Walshaw on his excellent articles.

good article and good to see him telling it like it is unlike other journos who know nothing of boxing and think danny green and mundine are pound for pound fighters, only disagree with him making out getting stopped with a body shot is uncomman or as if it is weak , i know for a fact body shots do more damagethen anything else and no matter how tough you are if you get a good one to the liver , you are not gettn up.
