Is this supposed to disqualify Jones' opinion?

I suppose your fanboy opinion means more right? Because YOU fought the best for your career.

I'm a ***** even though I rate Roy higher? Jesus

P4P doesn't matter. I give Floyd very little credit for beating marquez who was top 2 or 3 p4p

honestlly no. Roy might not have fought everyone he could have, but his handspeed completely dismantled guys in a way Floyd never has. Roy is correct. It is obvious that Floyd is cautious about fighting Manny. He doesn't seem confident that if it gets into a war he can beat Manny.

Roy's not really overrated, anyone who was present during his pre ruiz days knows hes the closest thing to sugar ray robinson both stylistically and talent wise.

Unfortunately as was shown he did not have the same chin as a SRR and of course lacks his resume.

Additionally he had a similar defense as robinson, severely lacking and so with his aqcuired chin deficiency and his lack of defense we got to see him ktfo a few times post prime.

Therefore I can't say he usurped SRR's position but he's def the closest i've ever seen in my lifetime.

both guys could compete in any era, I am just saying Jones had faster reflexes. Floyd uses great fundamentals with great handspeed, but not the Jones handspeed. Problem with Roy was always once his speed went a little, he did not use the fundamentals which Floyd uses to help him defensively, but Floyd never in his prime had the speed Roy had to totally dominate guys.

Roy was more dominant against guys who were just as good as guys Floyd fought. Both guys fought the top guys in their divisions. But do you really think Castillo would trouble Roy Jones Jr. Roy would outclass him. Roy outclassed Toney, a quality and prime fighter at a level Floyd never fought. My point is Roy dominated guys in a way Floyd never could. Roy in my mind was a better fighter and will go down as a better fighter.

Faster reflexes, lmao! Again, so what. Floyd>Jones. I loved Jones to death, but I had to come to the conclusion that Jones's style while flashier than Floyds was not better.
