{Larry Merchant} Timothy Bradley may have...a six-pack..in his stomach. But does he...have a six-pack..in his chin? {/Larry Merchant}
Im not great at explaining, and articulating certain concepts like this, but I think you know what the deal is. . . I was just saying in Timmy's case, since he's likely doing roadwork everyday, and he can only consume a limited amount of calories because he has to make weight, it's almost impossible to actually build muscle in his legs (but he will still have STRONG legs, because he's eating just enough to maintain). . . Also, because he does so much upper body work, the protein he consumes is being directed to his upper body, and arm muscles. He could have those calories to "FEED" his legs instead. . . That's why I think he might be able to "exchange" some of his upper body mass, to his legs if he only ran, and worked his legs out 3 days a week, while cutting back on the upper body workouts, and only doing very high reps. . . This way, his legs would get more rest to build, and in response, his body would direct more of the protein, and calories to his legs, rather than his upper body. I always think that any excess muscle a boxer should have (if any at all), should be in his LEGS, and CORE. . . Muscles require more oxygen to support hte blood flow to them.
Rubbish. So people on very low caloric diets will lose muscle first and then fat. Is that what you're saying? If what you're saying has merit, then all people on calorie-restricted diets will have all of their muscle depleted before remaining fat starts to get used up.
It's not black-and-white as in: either you break down muscle or fat. However, you will lose excess muscle very quickly compared to excess fat.
According to KK it is black and white - "the body will turn to muscle before it turns to fat for its energy needs". It ain't excess muscle if the body needs it to meet and maintain certain physical demands.
When his boxing career comes to an end Tim can be a very successful body builder. He has incredible genetics to be all natural.
Bradley needs to be tested asap, plus his support and excuses for peterson should be setting alarm bells ringing, dude doesnt even realise that synthetic testosterone is an anabolic. He is a prime candidate for roids of some type
This. . Do your own research, Prince. . . It's hard for somebody who has never worked out, or studied up on the concept to understand. But no, it's not black, and white. . . There are a lot of variables. . . How much muscle you have, what is your body fat %, genetics, your diet (what you eat, and just as importantly, WHEN you eat), whether or not you work out. . . But if a person did not work out, and simply restricted their caloric intake, then yes, their body would burn up any excess muscle, and then it would tap into your fat deposits. . . It would not burn up "all" your muscle first, though. . . This content is protected Seriously, go read up on it. . Buy some books. . . I'm not going to take the time to explain it to you because you obviously have no knowledge whatsoever on how the body works.
