Frankie Gavin - a bigger dissapointment than Audley ???

That's the only boxer I have any dislike towards and have ever said anything bad about. He's a arrogant, horrible racist that's my opinion based on facts. Saying that I never once used any family issues or low jibes about him, so your point is what exactly you ***** ? :think

lets get this right whatever you think about frankie gavin love him or hate him missing the olympics was his fault and his fault alone speak to anybody inside of boxing that does NOT have a personal relationship with him and they will tell you. speal to Ron Boddy from the bunce show and he will tell you the truth. where do you think Funtime name came from, why do you think ****** moved him to another city when he turned pro?

ask him yourself on here. did you drink a beer, eat any bad food and word in the 6 months leading up to the olympics?. the guy was still eating beans on toast 3 years into his pro career and drinking diet coke despite seeing Kerry Kayes on several occasions so what makes you fools think he wasn't doing the same before the olympics despite the advice.

frankie gavin has all thr ability in the world but he wont become a world champion.

Deep down I believe that he can and will do it. I really do. I always thought he just needed a disciplinarian of a trainer who focused on him and made him make the most of himself. someone like ann wolfe would leather his arse into gear like she did with kirkland. frankie would get a hiding if he even looked at a tin of beans

one thing i would say though is that with farnell in his corner, heffron is a very serious danger to frankie. farnell knows frankie inside out.

I agree with you. Frankie has relied on his talent to get far and it will take him even farer but if he had the focus and mental strength of Bradley he would be unstoppable. I suppose there are a lot of really talented fighters and people in general who never fulfilled their potential because they didn't apply themselves fully.

I just wonder what would happen if Gavin was in a hard fight, with Brook for example, and he got dropped heavily but got up and survived the round. Would he have the mental strength to keep going and turn it round? Would he have the heart of Eubank, who was taking a drubbing from Watson but still kept going and miraculously turned it around.

I don't know why but i believe in frankie

Richard I completely agree with you that everyone should be able to express an opinion, of course.

How that opinion is expressed is the problem in some cases. There are some bang out of order 'reasons' for Frankie's slower than expected progress which people have made on this thread and others which people put forward having never met the guy. I don't understand why anyone would want to do that.

I'm nothing to do with Frankie, I just don't think some of the abuse he takes on here (and others too) is warranted in my opinion. Opinions yes, horrible gossip not for me. Cheers
