mago has the raw knockout power to be more exciting than every fighter you mentioned, but I agree, the heavyweight division in america is better than it has been in years, nevertheless a shot in the arm from a knockout punching heavyweight still helps, very much so.
I value your opinion more than most around here but i'm going to have to go ahead and disagree wholeheartedly. win lose or draw, this guy's a banger. he obviously is seriously lacking in the skills department, but he's a new heavyweight that can knock other heavyweights out. I like that.
Lots of heavyweights can knock other heavyweights out. Lots of heavyweights have power. Skills and speed are unique. He has neither. Just power. :conf He is dime a dozen, IMO. Give me a Bogdan Dinu or someone like that over MA anyday...power WITH speed and skills obvious from very early on in his development.
I appreciate power with speed and skills much more than just raw power, but there isn't a heavyweight on the american scene exhibiting those qualities in combination. In all honesty, in another era I wouldn't be excited by mago, but as of now I personally am picking at bones when it comes to american heavyweight boxing. Its gotten better but the jury's still out on many of the guys who've gotten fans talking in the last year or so.
Well, we're not really claiming him as American, are we? As far as US born and bred heavies go...Walker has a far better "total package" than Mago, unfortunately his package also includes a glass jaw. Then there's Seth Mitchell. Much faster, and applies more craft than Mago. Maybe not as much raw power, but enough to knock suckas out up to a certain level (and we don't know that Mago's raw power won't cap out at that same level, either)

walker's a vet, and mitchell has way more tools in general. all good points though, and when I referred to american heavyweight boxing, I meant guys who are on the american scene obviously. mago fights out of oxnard, fights on espn and other american sports networks, etc. you know what I mean.
