Can't imagine that anyone will pick Calzaghe for this particular poll.

    EDIT: Disregard.

You should've made it a public poll. I would've like to have seen Bailey bull**** his way outta this one.

This pole is yet more biased bull **** from Popkins. Carl Froch is 34 years old. He was at domestic level for years due to injuries etc. Calzaghe was 24 when he won the title, Carl Froch was no where near world level at that age.

At 24 Froch hadn't even turned pro so you can't compare their careers due to age. Even if you did by age 34 Calzaghe had only just beaten Lacy so even then his resume wasn't as good as Froch's at 34, despite turning pro later and having his progress hampered by injuries.

'The title'? You mean a strap which was many years away from universal acceptance as a bonafide world title.

And as BB has already stated Froch was still an amateur when he was 24.

Well Froch started boxing when he was a kid just like Calzaghe. Imo if Froch and Hennesy took the fight with Calzaghe when they were offered it (straight after the Lacy fight look it up) Calzaghe would have UD'd him Froch wouldn't have gotten the chances he has and people would have just said he was another Euro bum on Calzaghe's record.

Not if he would have gone on to do what he has done afterward.........Would have clearly been amongst his best couple of wins.

I could easily make a thread. Who achieved more at age 24 Calzaghe or Froch. It would be obvious and unfair. That's why popkins made this, coz he's an armchair fan who's jelous of Calzaghe. Stick to watching MMA popkins.

Yeah but if Calzaghe beat Froch back then no way would Froch have been given all the chances he has been given. Froch ran his mouth for so long about how much he'd love to face Calzaghe yet turned down what would have then been a career high pay day, just because they wanted a rematch clause (which is the norm for champs making voluntary defences). What a load of bull **** and people say Calzaghe ducked him.

I can honestly I don't know anything about that side of it. Never heard it before.

Either way, if Froch was good enough, and it certainly seems he is, he would gotten a chance. Especially if he acquitted himself well. Look at Bika. Never, ever won a big fight, but chance after chance. It happens.

Froch has arguable done more with less, and in a quicker amount of time. Now H2H, I don't know if froch beats him. but for a career, Joe c wasted WAAY too many years on home defenses vs. less then threatening comp. I see that as a HUGE shame. And for the most part, I blame War.ren. But joe c was happy to make the money he did, and be a big fish in a small pond.

Froch absolutely shits on Calzaghe in every way.

    Except the art of slapping.

And getting premature "KOs" (someone post up that glorious Calzaghe KO Specialist video)
