Ortiz was huge at 140, still a good size at 147. At 154, he would certainly be at a size disadvantage, but not as much as people might think. Add to that the fact that he's had every opponent he's faced on the kanvas at some point, apart from Mayweather. That's a testament to his power. Canelo appears to have a good chin but it would be seriously tested again if this fight is made. Probably a points win or late TKO for Canelo but it wouldn't be easy for him.

Knew it was a load of **** when they said that Lara, Trout or Bundrage were options.

Ortiz by late tko, Alvarez doesn't throw that many punches and Ortiz will be puttin presssure on the whole time, people underestimating Ortiz's chin its not that bad don't think he will get stopped

Canelo is not that good, nothing has impressed me with that kid. Speed is so so and power decent but so what?
Ortiz is quicker and has more power, not to mention actually has more experience. Ortiz will KO this kid within 6

Too High risk for Ortiz. He can't afford to lose again let alone get knocked out.

Surprised by the opinions so far. I think Ortiz wins this. He's about the same size as Saul and doesn't lack in power or aggressiveness. Canelo can not afford to take rounds off against the Tree.

    Tree by UD or TKO.

They are not even in the same weight class. This is a disgraceful matchup, to rival Brandio Rios-Yuorikis Gamboa. I expect Ortiz to pull out like Gamboa did, he would if he was smart. Which he isn't.

Shame. If they believe in Canelo feed him a decent light middle

Same. I'm not convinced as of yet.
