    I think his level of competition for where he is at in terms of experience is about right. You make it sound like he had a long and distinguished amateur career. In fact he had no bouts in singlets and is obviously learning on the run as professional.

    He's not the finished product by a long way, but I'm sure he'll continue to improve as he's extremely dedicated and a fast learner. I've no doubt he'd have learnt more from sparring with Towers and Dave Smith for the past 3 weeks under Hatton and Brendan Ingle's eye than some of his pro fights to date.

    If Hatton Promotions want to offer us a fight where he's paid extremely well, against someone who he should beat and hopefully learns something from, why would we turn that down?

    Some guys just improve at different rates I guess. Look at 2008 Bronze Medallist Deontay Wilder under Shelly Finkel, who knows a thing or two, and Golden Boy.

    Calm down. None of this is as bad as it seems.

    Hatton has just signed up Browne having not seen much of him before. In that situation you are not going to put your new fighter in with someone who could very easily pull off an upset.

    So he puts him in with Paul Butlin, who along with Rasani and Kenna is known on the British circuit as someone who is durable and won't offer much in resistance, but knows how to look after himself. Browne comes through that one pretty easily, so Hatton decides to put him in with Kenna, who is dangerous early on and has knocked down his opponents early on in some of his recent fights, he came in as the opponent last time out and won, so again it's just a case of Hatton trying to gauge what sort of level Browne is at.

    Kenna pulls out so is replaced with Rasani. Now you can trot out the "lost 25 of his last 26" statistic all you like, but Rasani drew with Albert Sosnowski last year, who had challenged Vitali for the WBC belt a couple of years earlier. I know (having seen many of his fights) that he gets robbed in plenty of his defeats. How about watching him fight rather than just being a Boxrec warrior? Rasani rarely gets stopped and therefore if Browne stops him he makes a real statement. Hatton is putting him in with these guys to determine what sort of level he is at, so he can be better matched in future.

    Now compare Browne to DeMori, who is much further along in his career and next time out is fighting Weida who was stopped in one by Leapai. That's a much worse fight because Weida is not durable and we already know that DeMori is well above these guys, so the fight is a waste of time and there is nothing to be learnt from it. Unlike Browne v Rasani. :good

    so now if he ko's a 38yo guy with 67 beatings, of which he was ko'd 24 times, he's making a real statement, pmsl.

    u guys r trying to make **** covered in chocolate sprinkles taste good. its still ****!!!

    it is a woefull choice of opponent whichever way u look at it.

    i like browne, but i'm not gunna defend his choice of opponent when its this guy he's facing.

    I don't need to calm down, I'm simply stating that it's a disgraceful opponent, just the like the one before that.

    Seems I'm not the only one on the boards that feels the same.

    You think it's a good opponent, I think it's ****, agree to disagree.

    I'm sure you will in future when you 'market' Browne (and same goes for your feather boa ****wit) for bigger opportunities telling people how's he's won xyz on the bounce and he's an undefeated fighter...

    People don't respect fighters / fighters teams here for padding records, your just doing it elsewhere.

    Bull**** is still bull**** Ipswich, at least throw your hands up and state it.

    i dont comment on boxers personalitys ever as i dont care and i dont know them but does anyone else get the impression he is a jerk , browne that is.

    Without knowing him we're talking perception then. I'm curious how you came to jerk?? I wold have thought the opposite. In interviews he's refreshingly well spoken for a boxer, humble (he's not making outlandish call outs...dont think Sonny bill is outlandish) respectful (regularly thanked Hatton for his oppotunities). On top of that he admitts he has a lot to learn in the fight game and appreciates good sparring.:huh

    the guy is the size of mars and covered it tatts. so if used cleverly, he could become a draw card and make some good coin. his focus is to make money, not to take on vitali.

    but don't try and bull**** to us that his opponent is a good one. or that a ko win would make a statement.
