Does Pacquiao's 'defeat' drive 'fans' away from Boxing?

First things first, I thought Pacquaio beat Bradley. I can see the argument for a draw given the fact that fights are scored as individual rounds.

Now, there are a special group of fans who only appear for Pacquaio fights. Now that his amazing win streak has ended, will they vanish?

We've seen a small exodous here all ready with some overly emotional Bute fans. Are we going to have a repeat? If so, can these people really be considered true Boxing fans?

let them go. They are pacquiao fans, not boxing fans.

Thats not true , the more poor decisions that happen the more the average fan becomes more synical and less and less fans watch the sport. This means less air time for regular fights and less money into the ground roots of the sport.

No the defeat won't because every fighter can lose. The manner he lost this fight will result in the sport losing many fans. There has been a massive backlash on social media networks and at one point #RIPboxing was the no.1 trend worldwide. Boxing might have just lost the small credibility it had before this fight.

I'm a Pacquiao fan. Been watching boxing since Leonard-Hearns I when I was 9 years old. I was a boxing fan before Pac, I will be after. Many of ESB's Pac fans are around my age as well. The fans you speak of reside mainly on youtube and Pacland. They will leave. But I'll be here to stay.

Boxing fans will always love the sport. Casual fans have been slowly turning away for years now and this fight might just be the nail in the coffin. One of the top two fighters in the sport gets robbed in front of an audience of millions :-(

Santino he lost a close decision. You people act like he knocked Bradley down multiple times and still lost.

Boxing will ALWAYS be having judging controversies and scandals, but a boxing fan would still be there, with or without ESB, Bscene, Saddo, yabadiyabada.

Boxing will still emerge as top sport. There will be more Rigo, Donaire, Haye, Vitklit, Froch. and there will still be Gayetards, Klitnuts, *****s and Butehurts giving headaches on this forums.

Well sitting at the mirage casino in vegas watching the fight where most people dont know a left hook from a fish hook but are huge pac fans they claim they are through. All i can say is good riddance. But tonight was terrible for boxing. Hopefully we will see that ruthless beast in pac again because he doesnt trust the scorecards any more. When he fight bradley again hopefully we see the one that koed hatton or made dlh quit where his his fist were the judges and jury.
