Though he's not as sharp as he was, I thought Pacquiao did enough to get the nod today, and to say he's finished is an overreaction. I've said for years Pacquiao vs Mayweather would never happen, and I still think that's the way it will pan out.
I also thought Pacquiao did enough to win even though he faded in the last 3 rounds. I had Bradley winning 5 rounds to Pacquiao winning 7. I also thought that Bradley was hurt several times and looked on the verge of going down. Not exactly a robbery but the wrong man won
not a robbery cmon ---one fighter hit the other fighter much more often and harder demonstrating the art of boxing, ie hit but dont get hit he did this in a much better fashion than his opponent thus winning the boxing match i always know who won if ever i spar or fight someone i can tell by the impact my fists made compared to the impact my ****ing head recieved how hard is it to watch a fight and know who won
Yep and going by your logic pacman won the fight in most fans eyes. You should become a judge since you seem to know so much detail about scoring fights
thanks dawsosj thats how a fight is scored unless you give points for nearly hitting someone or nearly getting your opponent to miss or nearly scoring a goal in soccer---half a goal maybe
The Compubox numbers are interesting >>> Pacquiao on the left / Bradley on the right 751 - Total punches thrown - 839 253 - Landed - 159 34% - Connected - 19% 258 - Jabs thrown - 449 63 - Landed - 51 24% - Connected - 11% 493 Power thrown. 390 190 Landed. 108 39%. Connect. 28% :deal Bradley missed 680 times.
Point 1. Congrats to Bradley. I thought he won the fight in a close shave from coming home strong and starting the fight strong. Point2. The hbo crew (lampley, steward, lederman Etc) have been around for a while and some of the unprofessional and emotional comments after the fight calling it a "crime" and a "robbery" were strange when they didn't say **** all when Marquez got screwed for a third time Point 3. Pacquiao's punch stats are exagerated at the best of times and I think lederman thinks every punch he throws lands. Fin
I thought Pac clearly won the fight to the point I would say it was a robbery. You also know it's a robbery when the winner (Bradley) himself didn't feel he won the fight. Boxing is just a farce of a sport and it's amazing that hardcore fight fans like ourselves still bother with it.
Ffs PAC looked awful, off balance , punches falling short, punches missing. The manny a couple of years ago was known for his angles . Bradley was the one turning manny around like a merry go round whilst PAC is now a straight ahead fighter. And what was with him just dropping the last 3 rounds ??? Had bradley s body shots taken there toll or did manny not learn from de la hoya vs Trinidad???
I had PAC out in front 8 - 4. PAC is showing increasing bursts of inactivity in his fights and is clearly aging. He's still got it though. Bradley showed SERIOUS chin and was VERY hard to hit all fight but PAC still clearly won in my book. I don't see many people eating those shots and staying up. Fighting the best brings out your best and Bradley is a warrior but he lost imo because he clearly didn't land as much and clearly had a tougher time in there than Pac. I don't think the Mayweather fight is ever going to happen and is now irrelevant - we needed it and 2 sequels starting 5 years ago. Many people are going to see another shitty boxing decision, another delay (possible axe) to what could have been the biggest event to ever occur in the sport. Shameful really. The people running it have let it get ridiculous.
I can't believe so many people are sooking calling this a robbery. It was super close iv watched it twice and the judges got it right but some tough rounds to score so you could of scored it for pacquiao too. The fight deserves a rematch because it could of gone either way ,the people that called it a robbery must be delusional manny fans or just can't score a fight for ****. Mayweather would box the absolute **** out of both these guys too.
