Not sure on this one, part of me says, that the movement Seldon just looks at Foreman, he just falls over like he did vs Tyson. Seeing Seldon drop trying to avoid taking a punch vs Tyson never left my head. I cant think of Foreman doing any worse imo.
Think Foreman takes this one by KO. There is the chance that Seldon could outbox Foreman for the 12 rounds like Stewart did.
I never saw Seldon chicken out in a fight like he did against Tyson. I was sitting behind him at the Bruno fight and he was scared to death after the fight. Ive told this story a million times but its true. George in his comeback was a big teddy bear before his fights. I dont see how he would be psyched out by Foreman. Seldon just had a crappy chin, but no worse than Morrisons, who managed to keep away from George, and really it wasnt a tall order if a fighter decided to use any movement.
Exactly! Seldon had the speed and quickness to outbox George and win a decision. If an unknown guy like Schultz could bust George up and outbox him, why couldn't Seldon? Schultz was slower than Seldon and didn't have as good a jab or movement. Seldon wins by majority decision!
Seldon had some tools to give Foreman problems but he was lacking in a big way in some other areas. He had a nice quick leftjab and decent handspeed. He would punch off his backfoot and flinch at anything that came the other direction. Problem is Foreman had a good heavy jab that Seldon isnt going to like coming back at him. Seldon`s lack of a chin and heart would be his demise here. Foreman most likely scores a midround KO. It would only go that long because George would start slow and not begin to really time Seldon for a couple of rounds. Seldon was stopped by McCall, Bowe and ofcourse Tyson. Wouldnt be suprised of Big George puts him on the canvas with a jab.
Thats what i thought straight away :good Speaking of which, wonder where Lefthook has been?? He had some amazing insights into heavys in the 80's & 90's...was his specialty :bbb
Sad to say, but yes. Seldon was a better boxer than Stewart or Morrison. Sure, he had an awful chin, but it wasn't as bad as the Tyson fight (where he was scared shitless) would suggest. For most of his career, Seldon was actually a fairly impressive little boxer with good power and strength to match his excellent speed and skills. If he gets intimidated by George's size, power and cool menace, then Seldon gets knocked out. If he keeps his head, I see him doing a number on Foreman in a similar manner to Alex Stewart (except Seldon does a better job of staying on his feet).
Stevie, against young George Foreman, Seldon would ber utterly defeated during the ref's instructions...George would give him the same treatment he did Ken Norton. Norton was petrified..looking down at the canvas, while Foreman was like Darth Vader...Seldon would crap out without any attempt..no matter how futile, unlike Norton.
