Pac should retire not tomorrow, not this afternoon, NOW

I agree he should retire just because fighters with his style don't age well. One day it's there and the next day it's not. He is past his best and I don't want to see the day he gets beat by an opponent far below him.

He looked good against Bradley, but a few years ago he would have had Bradley laid out in the 6 or 7th round.

 

I feel your pain. I miss the pre-2011 Pac. I would say his last great performance was against Margo.

 

Pac hit his peak against Cotto, imo. His best performance. After Clottey, you could see the physical decline. Every since Margo he's gotten slower and slower. His explosiveness is gone. His intensity is gone as well. I think he should do the rematch with Bradly and get his belt back and retire out gracefully. He could retire now and I dont think anyone would complain either. He could have retired a long time ago.

 

His defense is getting better and offense more accurate.
He needs to b challenged vs a fighter that doesnt retreat.

Bradley landed 10% Of his jabs 18% power, he was flailing and running,
Shane threw 80 punches all fight. Juan also reluctant to throw.

It is sad to say... but I also think Pac's very best is behind him... His style wont age well either...

 

This controversy only made Pacquiao a bigger star! He trends number on in the internet and even Wall Street has his face plastered in their headline!

I think this robbery made him much bigger than he already is. This was better than declaring him a winner in a usual so-so performance where his opponent back pedals.

All that being said., Pacquiao-Mayweather even got bigger! Fact

 

50 - 60 fights for the small men is a lot of mileage , I thought he should have retired after Floyd signed to fight Ortiz.

Bradley isnt a fight I would want to see again.

 

He didn't look good against Bradley or Marquez.

 

Both Pac and Mayweather are past their prime.

Pac has been looking the worst of the two in his recent fights, though. The Marquez fight makes sense, because Pac and Marquez are eternal rivals that will always give each other problems. He looked unimpressive against Mosley, though (aside from the KD) and it was the same case against Bradley. It could simply be because both guys were trying to copy Marquez and use movement and boxing from the outside, but I think the main reason is that Pac just looks slower, less explosive, and doesn't have the same hunger or dangerous edge to him. The old Pac would have chased Bradley across the ring in the final rounds and unleashed combinations until he hit him. This Pac was older, and wasn't even fighting for full rounds -- he was picking his spots and resting here and there, which is unusual for such an active, energetic fighter.

I think it's a shame that his record will now always have that loss to Bradley. Boxing fans will disregard the loss, but it's still disappointing, because Bradley doesn't deserve it. Marquez deserved the win, but this isn't going to set that right.

Pacquiao fought JMM the best way he could, it's just that JMM has all the arsenal that could stop Pacman's onslaught.

Pacquiao beat Bradley 8-4 rounds, it's just that he had the bad night according to the judges.

Pacquiao is still one of the best fighters of this era, and to say Pacquiao needs to retire now is BS. Just face it, you just dont want pacquiao to lose. Well all of us dont want him to lose, but this is boxing. If a better man beats Pacman, so be it. He can still fight another day. And Pacquiao can still fight.

Wish they'd all just **** off to be honest and leave Khan, Bradley etc fight it out. Pac is not the fighter he was and seemingly a lot of his fights have some air of corruption about them. The Mayweather merry go round could never be solved - it was inevitable one of them would lose whilst they failed to make a Mayweather - Pac fight happen. If they do rematch, it wouldn't suprise me if Bradley beat him again.
