Geale does not deserve more attention. hacks at the Daily Telegrapg try to talk him up but no one takes interest and that wont sell papers because its just not interesting. Geale is a very good boxer, but a total bore as a prize fighter. He should have fought Soliman who deserved a shot in a well promoted local showdown. There seems to be a little spice between camps so it would have been a big fight.

He wasn't responsible and it seemed as though he was trying to help Briggs out of financial problems giving him the fight BUT that doesn't change the fact that he still got the money from the tickets, ppv and whatever else you make in hosting a boxing event. Promoters have their cost AFTER the fight but they have the money in hand to pay the bills, the fans were the one's left with a bogus round 1 KO.

I just didn't think a Green would cash in like that, that's all.

Did you lose respect for Green when he made a shameless offer to fight Mundine using bogus offer to Aboriginal charities on Anzac day a day to honour those that fought and died for our country wanting him to move up 25 pounds in 2 months?

If Danny gets past Santiago there is a big chance there will be a massive fight on the east coast around nov-dec.
Love him or hate him the guy puts his cash on the line to get some of the biggest names to come to Australia to fight.

Can't understand all the hate for Green. For a fighter with limited skill he has done well and made a shitload of cash.

Fought better opposition than Mundine in the last few years as well...

 

than y did team green have the fight moved after briggs was denied the right to fight in nsw only a week and half out before they where to fight??
are u saying they made a simple mistake to take the fight....common!! serious?? charity???? y did briggs only collect $150k for the fight and he got fined half that...where is the dvd with the proof danny had, i didnt know of any investigation where green and hyder where looked into, just briggs...and WA ( wait awhile) combat sports who sanctioned the fight led the investigation of course they will clear green and cover there faults for sanctioning the bout

 

Briggs appealed that and won he was paid in full eventually.
