Found what I was looking for – Compubox doing a round by round punch stat report.

Now, keeping in mind Compubox is known for being terribly inaccurate for actual punch land statistics and the fact that judges on the ground aren’t watching replays nor are scoring the fight punch by punch, more so section by section – seasoned judges will write down what a fighter has done for every 30 second period, then consult it before making their score in order to not reward later periods in the round over earlier periods.

On those metrics, this is why I blame Pacquaio almost as much as the weird judging - he was out hustled in 8 of the 12 rounds and in four of those rounds, he was out hustled by an appreciable margin.

I had Pacquaio winning 115-113 on my card but may have been distracted due to the constant laughing fits I was in at how much HBO brown nosed Manny in this fight and how many discrepencies there were between what they said happened and what actually happened in the middle of the ring.

Round 1 Questionable Round based on “thrown” stats

Pacquaio threw 42 punches, landed 11 at 26%
Bradley threw 78 punches, landed 10 at 13%

Bradley threw almost twice the punches
JR and CJR gave Pacquaio the round
Duane Ford gave Bradley the round

Round 2 Questionable Round based on “thrown” stats

    Pacquaio threw 37, landed 18 at 49%
    Bradley threw 72, landed 15 @ 21%

Bradley again almost threw twice the punches
JR, CJR gave Bradley the round
    DF gave Pacquaio the round

    Round 3

    Pacquaio threw 50, landed 21 @ 42%
    Bradley threw 65 punches, landed 11 @ 17%

Bradley through three has thrown more punches in every round
All three judges give Pacquaio the round

    Round 4

    Pacquaio threw 81, landed 35 @ 43%
    Bradley threw 65, landed 15 @ 23%

    Pacquaio throws more this round
All judges give Pacquaio the round

    After 4 Rounds

Pacquaio threw less punches but has a 39-37 lead on all three judges scorecards

Round 5– Questionable Round based on “land” stats
    Pacquaio threw 65, landed 22 @ 34%
    Bradley threw 68, landed 8 @ 12%

    JR gives Pacquaio the round
The other two give Bradley the round

    Round 6

    Pacquaio threw 58, landed 24 @ 41%
    Bradley threw 48, landed 10 @ 21%

All three Judges give Pacquaio the round

Round 7 Questionable Round based on “land” stats

    Pacquaio threw 77, landed 27 @ 35%
    Bradley threw 67, landed 11 @ 16%

All three judges give the round to Bradley

    Round 8

    Pacquaio throws 59 punches, lands 15 @ 25%
    Bradley throws 70 punches, lands 9 @ 13%

JR gives the round to Pacquaio
CJR and Duane Ford give it to Bradley

    After 8
JR has it 78 – 74 to Pacquaio
CJ Ross has it 76-76 even
Duane Ford has it 76-76 even

    Round 9

    Pacquaio throws 94 punches, lands 25 @ 27%
    Bradley throws 78 punches, lands 26 @ 33%

JR and CJR give Pacquaio the round
Duane Ford gives Bradley the round

    Round 10

    Pacquaio throws 54, lands 14 @ 26%
    Bradley throws 64, lands 14@ 22%

All three judges give Bradley the round

    Round 11

    Pacquaio throws 66 punches, lands 21 % 32%
    Bradley throws 76 punches, lands 15 @ 20%

JR and CJR give it to Bradley
Duane Ford gives it to Pacquaio

    Round 12

    Pacquaio throws 68 punches, lands 20 @ 29%
    Bradley throws 88 punches, lands 15 @ 17%

All three judges give the Round to Bradley

    Final Score

    JR 115-113 to Pacquaio
CJR and Duane Ford – 115 to 113 to Bradley

Bradley threw more punches in 8 of the rounds and was seemingly rewarded for the activity
The only two rounds that have major question marks against them is Round 5 and 7 in favour of Bradley and Round 1 and 2 in favour of Pacquaio.

Note that the Bleacher Report article had the fight result going for Bradley and questioned the biased nature of the commentary team throughout the fight, interesting thoughts presented by the writer. Not sure if he's credible or not.

Bumping this, in lieu of everyone who constantly comes back to Compubox as "a leading source of how a fight should be scored"

Compubox is a terrible source for punches landed - but quite accurate for punches thrown, I thought that was the consensus?

Is punches thrown a better stat than punches landed though?

If Pacquiao throws 100 punches, but Bradley blocks them all with his gloves or dodges away from them, I can't really give him credit for throwing 100 punches.

I'd give Bradley more credit for blocking them, or making Pacquiao miss.

Yep. Numbers show those claiming lopsided are fools. 3-4 rounds Pac dominated. Rest were close.

Punches thrown is an accurate measurement based on analysis on other fights
Punches landed tends to be wildly inaccurate and favors the come forward fighter (take Marquez vs Manny for instance, where he made Manny miss a crap tonne of punches yet Manny was credited for many of them)

If you're going off stats alone, these are two very bizarrely scored rounds.

Pretty much the same results, yet a complete flip on who they scored them for.

I understand it might be more accurately measured, as punches landed can be subjective, but is it a more accurate indicator? As I said:

You dont need compubox to score this fight. and I agree Compubox is horse****.

It's clear as day who won the fight , and by a wide margin. Pacquiao landed more punches, and basically all of the effective punches and he controlled almost every round.

Bradley had 1 clear round in the fight while pac had around 9. This isn't Pac - Marquez 3.

Put me inside a phone Booth cage against wlad in the ring and ill beat his ass through compubox punches thrown.

  12. No two SANE judges could give Bradley round 5.
The fact they did BOTH OF THEM was enough to show corruption.
    3x landed 3x percentage - landslide round.
Duane Ford only can give Tim if fixed. That is a huge differential in boxing.
On top they were harder shots. IMPOSSIBLE

By the way, I had this fight at 116-112 for Pacquaio. I gave Bradley the 1st, 10th, 11th and 12th rounds. Tougher rounds for me to score were the 2nd and 9th.

Round 4, 5, 6 and 7 were clear Pacquaio rounds in my book - dominant Pacquaio rounds and it's almost unbelievable that the judges went against him in 5 and 7 but in the same token, I thought Bradley did alright in the first 3 rounds and HBO were sounding like he was out on his feet and about to have his lights punched in.

I had Marquez over Pacquaio by 116-112 and the correlation I make is that while Marquez never looked as dominant over Pacquaio as Pac did over Bradley in the spots he was "winning" - Marquez had far more "winning" spots all told.

Pacquaio really took a nap early and late in this fight, he got into his work in the middle rounds and the judges (mostly) showed that... but the activity seems to be what cost him the fight in the eyes of the judges.

um yeah youd prolly out punch him and outland him but you wont be the first one walking out of the phone booth.

well you might fall on your face unconscious if your the first one out the phone booth.

You and i saw this fight almost identically. I actually gave Tim rounds 2 and 9, making it a draw.
