As we were talking about Yod a few pages back thought I should post this clip. Yod's a 3 time world champ!!! :bowdown He just beat Vladimír Moravčík at 72 KG for the WMC strap. Way past his prime and way above his natural weight he's still teaching hungry westerners how to do it!! The Boxing Computer is rebooted at 72KG! A true Thai ATG confirmed again! :yep Not a great clip but all there is: [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=D-XNHBfUxDw&feature=related[/ame]
Here's a clip of Pornsaneh Sitmonchai in his international debut against Ilias el Hajou on the recent Slamm event. It's the fight and some good pre and post interview stuff. Round 3 was a master class in true Thai stalking low point kicking, inside the leg outside the leg, a thing of beauty!:happy The real reason I'm posting this is because we were recently talking about how Thai fighters hit the western scene once they are basically past thier prime and struggling with weight, well in the interview at the end (17.57) Pornsaneh sums it up pretty well.:deal Here's the clip from the My Muay Thai site: [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=L4YifxxPoG8[/ame] Here's his highlights in his prime in the motherland! Keep your eyes open for the bone above the knee at This content is protected ukke and the mad exchange at This content is protected :admin: [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fec32bOLvLw[/ame]
so finally they posted Pornsaneh's fight at slamm. He really dominated in that fight. Im surprised Pornsaneh didnt stop his opponent, tough fighter. that exchange at the 5 min mark was from this fight, 2010 Lumpinee fight of the year Pornsaneh vs Pakorn. (cant't get this **** to embedc) [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WfsDtJ5pD5Q[/ame] Devistating punching power quick hands, and some of the most brutal lowkicks I have ever seen. Pornsaneh is definitely one of those boring thai point fighters Animal was talking about
:rofl Funny, I thought that as I was watching the highlights! His style is almost throw back to the 90s, preasuure stalking pinpointing the same place on the legs repeatedly, I love it!!:happy Have got time to rewatch the full fight now saving it for later when I can really enjoy it. (If you want to get rid of the embedded stuff just delete until you get to the Q as above.)
What a throw back fight to the 90s, round 4!!:happy:happy:happy I've seen that Lumpini fight before but everytime I see round 4 the hairs on the back of my neck stand up and I get that feeling in my stomach.....heaven, the reason we all watch combat sports!!!! It reminds me of a classic fight from the early 90s in Raja where the guys spit out the gum shields, stand toe to toe nad just trade right hooks for a couple of rounds, fukin nuts. I can't remeber the fighters, but I've got it on a VCD in my place in BKK. (I'll try to find it on you tube to post). Props to the very technical and cool headed Pakon Sakyotin, but Pornsaneh is a total warrior. His conditioning is second to none to have withstood and walked through so many of those powerful straight counter knees. His lowpoint kicking is ****in scary :scaredas:. Everything was thrown with real intent, love it. :happy
Just mixing it up with some Aussie indulgence guys. A 21 year old John Wayne Parr stops Thai "Ai Mat Narok Taeg" Raktear Muangsurin back in 1997 >>> [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OiwS4ZsD-FY[/ame] The developing JWP gets decked with a big right hand inside the first minute. But takes control and eventually overpowers his Thai opponent.
More early John Wayne Parr. This time KOing 'Riddler' Reece in about 2000 >>> [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wSzyjQM0sZk[/ame] JWP drops Riddler with a big right hand late in the 1st round. But the ending isn't quite as clear. Must have been an elbow, but almost invisible no matter how many times I've re-watched it.
The first knockdown I think was an elbow, the stoppage was definitely an elbow. you know JWP last fight ever is against Jordan Tai, scheduled for june 23rd. the match will be fought in a cage with 4 oz gloves but under muaythai rules. here's a interview from Bloody elbow on his upcoming fight with Tai and the Boonchu Cup:
JWP's idea sounds very good to me, and how isn't it Mua Thai? So they are in a cage and using 4 pound MMA gloves. Otherwise it's pure Mua Thai. JWP is honest enough too to say that it's about him having a cage fight after 100 plus fights in the ring. He's earned the right for a little self indulgence before he retires surely. I have a sneaking suspicion this 'cage Mua Thai' could catch on. But unfortunately cage fighting is banned in one or two states here - Victoria for a start.
Guys, this can be considered Muay Thai ?? They say in the video that this was for the "Muay Thai World Championship ISKA"....this is pretty much Kickboxing to me, right ? It seems that elbows aren´t allowed in this fight..... [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s4CD_j_GzI4[/ame]
