Link? Good point And FYI, I predicted an upset but no way will I acknowlege my officially correct prediction as something to brag about. Pac didn't look fabulous but it was easily more than enough to win at least 116:112 on all scorecards. My initial reaction was that justice has been done with respect to JMM but I found it hard to rewatch the announcement of the decision on Youtube knowing that Pac would be screwed over. This Saturday I learned you can't make up one horrible result with another. Pac most certainly didn't bribe the judges against JMM himself and neither did Bradley two days ago. Boxing is irreparably damaged by atricious decisions in the past years that were blatantly based on bribery. It's heartbreaking.
I generally don't listen to this guy but he's right about the second half of the fight. Pacquiao did very little to impress from the 7th round on. Bradley worked harder, much harder. The problem here is casual fans. If Manny lands one or two good, clean powerful shots in a round they assume that's enough to win that round, despite what Bradley's done. Also, Bradley's lack of power had an impact on this fight. He was landing good shots and putting together some great combinations, but because he doesn't pack much power, they just didn't look that impressive, never snapped Pacquiao's head back etc. Judges, being knowledgable, will still score those shots, as they should, whereas a casual fan will decide in their head "That was nothing, Pacquaio's landing better shots" etc. All of a sudden you have a verdict of "ROBBERY!" when there was no such thing. Not even close.
