Jones lacks a chin, power, and any real boxing skills. I've been weary of him since his fight with Bruseles. I thought he would be able to get by Bailey though. This is a big setback.

Let's not. I want to see Brook tested against a legitimate, proven opponent but let's not forget that before the KO, the Bailey/Jones fight was ****ing awful and Bailey just could not pull the trigger. Brook would likely style all over him in a showcase fight and that does not answer any of the questions that I would like to have answered about him.

 

I see your point, who would you like to see Brook tested against?

If Bailey catches Brook flush, it would answer a lot of questions about his chin. Not that Bailey is particularly heavy handed, but if Kell's packing a suspect chin, Bailey could shatter it.

I do have my reservations about Brook's Chin but I don't think lightning strikes twice with Bailey. He's too unskilled, too shot, and Brook, regardless of the quality of his Chin, has had no reason to try and hide it yet and he won't let Bailey have 11 rounds of posturing and circling to figure out how to land that one big punch. Don't get me wrong, if he did land we'd certainly figure out what sort of Chin Brook has, but I just can't see Bailey lucking up twice, particularly against a fighter who will be more offensive than Glass Jaw Jones.

I say it's time for him to step up to a fight with a guy like Malignaggi (won't tell us much about his Chin), Maidana, Alexander, or Urango. No more British-level, no shot fighters like Bailey, but real fighters who have been in with top guys. It's the only way to truly assess where he's at and 27 fights into his career, it's about damn time to find out.
