Hmm. . Maybe not "defensive", per se, but he has the best reflexes, and the highest IQ, and ability to "read and react" after Muhammad Ali.

Probably one of the very best ever. He didn't get hit that much at all. Great reflexes. Tyson was the greatest defensive heavyweight ever though.

his style has become more evolved as he's got older.
Its such a weird posture he fights from. So yeah hes a good defensive fighter certainly the best of the present era - all time? not so sure. Even someone like Marciano has great defence even if he was an offensive swarmer/pressure fighter.

Yeah that's unfair from a big guy to use his natural attributes but it's legit for a small guy to use his speed and elusiveness. That makes perfect sense...

If a 6'6" like Vitali was 6'2", he would likely also be more mobile, coordinated and quicker on his feet.
What about fighters using their longer reach, do we have to cut off their distal phalanges before we give them credit for their abilities ?

This. . this. . AND THIS! :good

It's so frustrating when noobs think that being tall is such an unfair advantage. . and the "only reason" why a boxer is good.

Being tall, can work against you, just as much as it can work for you. . It's all about who can IMPLEMENT, and UTILIZE their physical attributes the best. . . Which goes back to who has the better boxing IQ, skills, and intelligence.

The haters are hilarious ''He's only good because he's tall'' Tell that to Tyson Fury

Don't waste your time arguing with ******s my friend. If they need to come out with childish theories to console themselves with so they sleep better at night believing their own heroes who they overrate are the bestest thing ever then let them be.

The true boxing fans of the sport appreciate Vitali's achievements and what he brings into the ring, whether they're a fan of his style or not.
