Canelo vs Ortiz IS ON for sep 15, showtime ppv.

    GBP just announced this today, suprisingly on showtime, and yes, ortiz is still fighting lopez fisrt. This is really a pick em fight for me, straight 50 50 fight, i might give a slight edge to canelo based on his size.

    Brilliant fight, should give us an indication of how good Alvarez is, I suspect he wins in about 10

    Surprised this is on Showtime, any reason given for it?

    Arum said he's got first dibs on HBO for that night. Said he wants to put Chavez/Martinez on PPV.

    Would be pretty **** for boxing if we've got a Chavez/Martinez PPV and a Alvarez/Ortiz PPV going up against each other on the same night.

    Anyway this is a great fight and they've got Jhonny Gonzalez/Ponce De Leon on the undercard :happy

    Proper card.
