Bob has quietly been educating himself on the issue for awhile now. As far back as two months ago I received a call asking for my articles, in particular the one on the 6:1 T/E ratio. I'm not going to judge what Bob knew or didn't. I don't know. And the fight Saturday is a separate issue (albeit everything in this f*cked up sport seems connected sometimes).

Yes, transparency will be key and pushed for. I trust that VADA will remain that way. But I will stay on them.

Sidenote: As for the USADA press release today, just know that is exactly what it was. We asked for the release of every document, email, contract and all the data from the tests. Not a press release. Anyone can write one of those.

 

You're an intelligent guy. Speaking as a a person who doesn't always take this advice, keep it logical. You're very good at that. Isn't your stance similar to the birthers? They made a claim that Obama wasn't born in America based on shaky evidence, and then they demanded that Obama prove that he was born in America. He provided a short form birth cirtificate, that wasn't good enough(this despite several high ranking Hawaii officials giving the documents their seal of apporval). He showed a birth announcement from the day he was born in Hawaii, that wasn't good enough. He showed a long form birth certificate, that still wasn't good enough for some. Anyone can come up with some reason why his proof isn't good enough, yet no one has been able to come up with any credible evidence that he wasn't born in America.

Now you're asking the USADA to prove they didn't do anything wrong. Shouldn't someone have to prove that they did do something wrong? Yes, anyone can write a press release. But if you're going to put said release on your website that contains false/misleading information, couldn't you also forge other documents? Bottom line is, they could release everything you ask for, and someone could still claim that it's fake, or that there are more documents that aren't being presented. It's almost impossible for them to prove 100% that everything is on the up and up. All it takes is one piece of credible evidence to prove that it isn't.

 

It's always easier to come up with a reason not to do something.

Isn't it funny that same people who have a problem with USADA and prefer VADA tests are the same people who are perfectly happy that Pac is taking the normal commission test.
