Ward will never be a superstar to the casual fan. No 1 shot punching power, and no controversial personality.

We may well see a lack of PPV's for a few years after the current two stars retire, and that will only help the sport.

rigo to be P4P the best after hes done away with donaire and gamboa..
and Canelo and Khan will rise to become the PPV stars.... with a matchup between them determining the biggest cash cow thereafter

    They'll never fight.

Khan's inside game won't see him go higher than 147, and Canelo will be at 160 soon enough.

Yeah he wont be PPV King but I think he has the strongest case for P4P King in the near term, as drew said if he gets by Dawson. To bad the guy cant attract ants to a picnic.

I think Rigo has a good shot at Donaire who has not looked as good as he has been moving up . . . Gamboa is another story.

Agreed Sir, I have him pretty high on my P4P list now. Beating Dawson would be a very good win, regardless of weight.

PPV stars in this sport, are and will be for a while; very hard to come by. :-(

khans inside game is lacking... and he will suffer for it that its true... but people will still pay to watch him over here... could you not see a future fight between him and canelo even if khan does take a few losses. depends on his credibility at the time, but it would make sense for both of them making huge money.
and i honestly couldnt pick between gamboa and rigo...

Broner, Gamboa, Rigondeux, Khan, Ortiz, Canelo, Ward, Brook, Dawson, Price, Froch.. there's still many talent fighters around.

    Canelo
    Khan
    Broner
    Ward
    Mares
    Rigo

But I think veterans like Maravilla, Marquez, and Froch will be grabbing headlines too if they chose to stick around alittle longer.

Amir lacks the consistency and reliability in order to be a mainstay. He gets knocked out by "Dani"

Bold and Underline have a shot at P4P, PPV I think only Canelo has a shot on your list. Price has a great shot at HW title after K2 but he will not be in P4P or PPV consideration . Froch was so outclassed by Ward he could never, ever be seriously taken as a P4P king threat. I really have not seen enough of Brook to make a final decision on him. Ortrees could become a crossover fighter . . . the 2pc combo he took certainly raised his profile. Khan has skills, the looks and is cocky enough to be PPV star and p4p king . . . but I think there is something missing to the puzzle with him. I kinda consider myself a fan but it just seems that he is not quite the full meal deal . . . maybe in in time he will get there :think

I can see the p4p king being anyone from andre ward, adrien broner, guillermo rigondeaux, or canelo alvarez.

ward- expansive skills, hard to beat, especially if he strengthens his stamina.
broner- skills that include speed and power, and he's a shoe-in if he perfects his boxing ability and defense. people see him as a mayweather carbon copy, but the kid gets hit and likes to bang.
rigondeaux- all around technically solid with power and speed, need I say more? he'll have a tough go of it in his weight range.
canelo- may have the toughest time proving p4p worth due to his tendency to get hit and fight in spurts, but other than that he has the right stuff, and is still only in his early 20's. to even be considering he and broner as possible p4p entrants is a good thing, a very good thing.

ppv- not many, but i'd say...
canelo- built in mexican fanbase, not to mention being atypical in terms of his looks and typical in terms of the way he goes about his business as a mexican fighter, in that he's rough, tough and absolutely loves to bang.
broner- fully has the ability to go the floyd route. he's a brash, cocky african american fighter with serious talent. all he needs is a nemesis, someone who contrasts him, and on that note, I think gamboa may be the guy.
gamboa- flashy, KO power, blinding speed, questionable chin, and in terms of personality he's like cotto, a "quiet assassin" as floyd would say, in addition to having the interesting backstory of being a cuban defector.

    did I miss anyone?

khan is still only 24, I think he should leave Roach. Then he will become a major p4p threat.
