Don't apply crudimentary boxing tests to top tier cycling. The **** and methods they are on and the advanced nature of the AFLD are beyond USADA's grasp.
USADA is an agency, they don't collect the samples, nor do they store them, nor do they actually do any testing. It's a freaking office. In Pro Cycling, the UCI collects and then it goes the Lab.
Strange thing is they are saying that samples from 2009/2010 are consistent with blood doping and EPO? Weren't they testing for those then? Why did they just find it now? One hell of a backlog?
I don't really recall if he did many US races, maybe the ToC? His Euro races would fall under the AFLD or LLND and or the Italians/Spaniards so they wouldn't have any access to those. Best I would assume is that they would take his samples from the ToC and have them sent out to the French for plasticizer testing for blood doping. Now the thing is, they are not supposed to know whose samples they have, that is illegal. You only have digits, and no way to corroborate those digits into an identity. lol.
How in the hell would USADA have Lance Armstrong's blood samples when he raced primarily as a professional athlete. UCI would have most of his samples, which is the organizing body of professional cycling. USADA had Marion Jone's blood samples. Why don't they re-tests those. Afterall, they never were able to get any postive results from her.
I would assume and it is only an assumption that either they went back and retested or they now understand the data better. Everytime they catch someone they make them tell them how they doped and how they beat the test and what they took etc etc. So maybe they know how to interpret the data better now remember all of these agencies are behind the drugs cheats......they essentially need people like Victor Conte, Dwain Chambers etc etc to tell them what they were doing to circumvent their testing methods etc etc
The USADA are just saying from2009 - 2010 because Lance Armstrong tried to compete as a triathlete during these times. So that is the onlytimethey have the specimens. USADA is known to turn a blind eye to positive results by simply saying that sample B is negative.
Lance wouldnt have even needed to do any races in the USA to be tested by USADA......as Im sure cycling is subjected to all year round testing......as he lived in the USA it is feasible that he could have had a sample collected by USADA.
USADA has no jurisdiction with regards to professional sports.USADA is the WADA arm in the USA. If Armstrong competed in the Olympics or its other sanctioned races, then Armstrong is subjected to those tests.
That's not how it works, it's not like fingerprinting or Interpol. Oh and he lived in France. Interesting. I'm sure the roadie forums are all over this.
