It's Arum's fault sounds like a scapegoat to me, but YMMV. IMHO, it's much more about being afraid of fighting back than omg Bob Arum! When was Manny KO'd? when he was a skinny little kid... in 96 and 99, when he weigh like 110 pounds... Since then he's gone up in weight and faced many hard punches, and he didn't get KO'd... Knocked down, hurt, etc., sure, but IMHO, he's gone up against more serious competition than Mayweather. (Ex: Manny beating Marquez vs Floyd beating Marquez isn't the same thing..) It has to do that his chin doesn't get tested. :nut It doesn't mean he doesn't have a great chin (IMHO it appears he doesn't...), but his cherry picking is a sure sign of his lack of confidence in his own chin. Something none of the ATG had issues with; facing the tough opponents to prove they're the best... Not just pick over the hill fightesr, smaller fighters, etc., just so you don't get into hard fights and have much less chance to lose than if you faced the best fighters out there. Arum is a ****ing silly excuse. I'm sorry but if you let your dislike of a man ruin your legacy, because you wont' fight vs any of his fighters who are the top tier of their divisions, it says a lot about the kind of man/boxer you are. Arum is just a convenient excuse for a coward to duck fighters he's afraid to face.
Faced elite competition for most of his career been champ for over 16 years never been down by a punch
God damn stupid idiots have trouble with basic logic... If you make a claim, the burden of proof is on you. If you say god exists or Gayweather has ATG chin, it's up to you to prove it. For god, basically impossible because it would require absolute knowledge. For Mayflower's chin, impossible to do because he won't get in the ring against fighters who have a serious shot against him. It's not up to forum posters to prove that a coward that doesn't want to get his chin tested doesn't have the greatest chin of all time. Until he does prove that he does have it, the claim is baseless. And if a claim is made without any evidence, it can be dismissed without any evidence. As simple as that.
elite: "the best of a class". Ugh no. He beat some big names, but they were past their prime, coming up in weight, coming out losses, etc., he didn't face the elite, he basically took advantage of fighters past their primes just to add their name on his resume. What was obviously rather irrelevant to people who are familiar with boxing. But I guess it's enough to impress an idiotic generation of people who know little about boxing... Let's get serious here for a sec, Mayweather's most recent toughest challenge was Diego Corrales and I guess Castillo, a fight many thought MW lost... I guess that's what put the fear of a loss in MW and why he never really took any chance after that. And Judah scored a knock down vs Mayflower, the ref was just too incompetent to call it...
This content is protected Let me tell you This content is protected This content is protected This content is protected top exposing yourself as an ignorant foaming at the mouth bigotry infested imbecile and grab a dictionary, some balls and some boxing knowledge and while you are at it stop being a loser too, if you can.
Floyd fought Corrales in 2001, and Castillo in 2002. :-( There isn't anything left to say to you. You are a meathead.
It's important to put down facts and solid statements when ignorance arises sometimes. It helps those who might fall prey to the slipper slope of idiocy. Thanks for the heads-up though.
What about Brian Nielson, he was like 48-0, never knocked out, unbeaten after 48 bouts, better record than Mayweater. :deal "Unbeaten doesn't mean ****", "you don't fight nobody, nobody's going to beat you".
Yeah and? That doesn't contradict anything I said... He fought Hoya in 2007, so you're the meathead? The **** is wrong with you? :rofl
MetalMandible clearly hasn't seen the Chop Chop Corley fight. Mayweather chin is good, not great. Pac's is much better for instance.
