Roy got caught in a different state, Vargas got caught because it was obvious at the weigh in everybody knew something was up the moment he got on the scales.

Weather this is true or not I really do not know

 

What about Tommy Morrison wasn't he busted for using steroids ?

 

They'd still have to have testing in place in order to catch Vargas no?

Forgot Jones was not at Vegas, but still you'd think NSAC's tests would be on par with Indiana's commission atsch

A clarification. This is an excerpt from Hauser's "Mayweather, Pacquiao, PEDs and boxing. You can also ask Dr. Flip Homansky, who many credit with bringing steroid testing to Nevada, whose commission was against it.

My apologies for the wrong year. I was tweeting fast and apparently loose. Got my times mixed up. As someone in this thread pointed out, EPO testing was not implemented until later in 2004. Steroid testing began in 2002, the year they caught Vargas.

And Jones did not get caught in Nevada. That was Indiana.

And for the record, I never said Floyd tested positive or that I had the story of the century. The only things I have said I have is what I have delivered. Everything else is a series of developing stories that will take time. I never said whether i heard the Floyd rumor or not or even where I might have heard it.

So while you are jumping all over my credibility, get your facts and check them. I know I do. 2004 didn't sit well with me. I went back and checked. And then my name came up on google alert and here I am.

Guys, this ain't about me. I've lost money, colleagues I thought were friends and I'll likely lose more when this is all over. I don't give a ****. This is about a better sport. I never planned to do this job longer than ten years. So rest assured, you've only 3 more years of me and I'm out. Hopefully, its all done by then.

That's fine and dandy, but I find it somewhat ironic that you would urge people to "get your facts and check them", in a thread regarding your irresponsibility in a matter that revolves around you not "getting your facts" and obviously "not checking them". I have no problem with your pursuit of a story, but you've been wreckless and misleading with your content in some instances, and whether you choose to accept it or not, it hurts your credibility.

 

Been doing a lot of that these days. Don't you check your source before writing? That is what any credible journalist would do is it not, especially when commenting on a subject you suggest to know more than anyone about? :roll:

 

I just corrected this. Clarification of dates happens all the time. The point still stands: what got through before 2002? They started target testing in 2001 to see about its effectiveness and then made it policy in 2002, adding more stringent tests for EPO and HGH along the way.

I can grab some sources and write a piece on it if you'd like.

Can you share with me the other instances so I can go back and see if what you are saying is correct?
