WHY was Bradley AWARDED the decision you ask? It's quite SIMPLE.

The reason for awarding Bradley a decision is to create interest in a second fight while building not one but two potential opponents for Pacquiao and future stars in the Top Rank stable.

First off the official revenue #s for this fight are LOW compared to Pac's usual #s. Those who didnt care to tune in to this fight will definitely tune in to the rematch. To see what all the fuss was all about. Drama sells.

Second off, a rematch gives Bradley, a potential rising star, MORE exposure. And he may do better in the rematch, which will create an even larger fan base for Bradley.

Third of all, who else does Bob Arum have in his stable to fight Pacquiao? Absolutely nobody. Especially now that Mike Jones, who was practically being given a belt, was knocked out. Bradley winning creates a potential TRILOGY for Pacquiao. By this time, that gives Arum a chance to build and hype up another opponent for Pac and keep everything inhouse. AS ALWAYS. Im thinking Rios? More than likely GAMBOA.

Now with that being said, by awarding Bradley a decision over Pacquiao, Bob just created TWO potential opponents in Bradley and Rios/Gamboa for Pac and two NEW potential stars in his Top Rank stable.

That is some genius **** right there. The Bob Father does it again!

Because PAC is very heavily hyped & people expect sparks to fly out of his ass every time he fights...
Truth is, dude is slowing down & his career is at the end.

All these conspiracy theories are getting old and are simply nonsensical.

Bradley was supposed to be an easy, confidence building fight for Pac after the Marquez fiasco. Beating a young undefeated fighter was going to do wonders for his confidence as well as his reputation.

JMM/Pac was a PPV success and everyone, including Arum knew this fight was not going to top that. It was simply a case of Murphy's law.

Half of the list of boxing experts n writers, which was posted on another thread, had it 115-113 and 116-112. 7 rounds to 5 and8 rounds to 4, respectively, is a close fight in my book. Nowhere near the robbery some feel it was.

    GG? Lol

It was a win win for Bob. Pac ktfo Bradley and the buzz over Pac stirs up again. Give Bradley a decision as long as he is standing and you have a rematch and potential trilogy. Bradley dominates Pac and you have a near instant star in Bradley and possible a rematch and trilogy for REVENGE.

All while keeping everything inhouse and creating future fights for Pac, since his jww and ww stable is running on empty, taking no real risks in terms of owning both fighters regardless of what the outcome is. Dont try and deny the Bob Father mastery. You know its true baby!

The fight was a lot closer than all the *******s on this forum and the ones who work at Hbo had it BUT Pacquiao Imo still should have got the decision. The real reason he didnt is because the judges at ringside A) Were not *******s and B) Thought Bradley won the fight. It really is that simple.

Nope. Had that been the case Bob Father Arum would back Bradleys win. But he cant because most casual fans and media think he lost. Bobs feeding the media to create more buzz for a rematch, trilogy, all while he sets up another opponent for the winner and next ppv star. It REALLY is THAT simple.

Wrong. Real reason is that this new, right-wing Religious Nut version of Pacquiao has ruffled too many feathers with his anti-gay remarks. C.J. Ross is bisexual.

If Pacquiao were still a hard-drinking, gambling, ****-fighting heathen who didn't make controversial statements, and not this peaceful churchgoing homophobe he is now, non of this would have happened, and Ross would have ruled in Pacquiao's favor. But, Pacquiao had to open his mouth, so Ross wanted to make a statement on that. :good:lol::-(

Lol, no, I think the OP is right. It was to create interest in a rematch and line Bob's pockets.

Thing is, Chavez Jr. ISN'T heavily hyped. If anything, he's generally unknown by the general public and **** on by various boxing boards as a can-crushing bum with no power at the elite level.

Pacquiao, on the other hand, does have a lot of hype in the general public (even if he isn't very hyped on message boards.)
