    Thoughts on this?

Floyd's been putting up monster numbers as of late and is now part of the two biggest non heavyweight bouts EVER.

    It's hard to say.

DLH never did great numbers vs not so big names and neither has Floyd. With the exception of Ortiz but even then, Ortiz was hyped, coming off a great brawl.

I think Pac and Floyd have both passed Oscar. Their hype and styles and personalities surpass him as a selling point.

Oscar was the pretty boy, with skills.

Pac is a tiny guy who beats your ass, Mayweather is the fast guy that talks ****.

I wouldn't say he is bigger, but he's on that level

Couldn't have done it without Oscar. It's no coincidence both Pac and FLoyd are superstars.

The script was simple, beat DLH, carefully select your next fights and above all, don't lose.

Simple script but easier said than done.

    Oscar: 12,600,000 PPV's sold in 18 fights.

    Floyd: 9,620,000 PPV's sold in 9 fights.

Difference is people tuned in to watch De La Hoya...
Floyd fights generate Haters & people that want him to fail.

That's still having people tune into him...whether it be to see him win or lose. It's to see him in some form or fashion.

The fact that Oscar had twice as many PPV cards tells the story.

Oscar was a seller, just like Floyd and Pac, he needed a strong B side.

It's a hard sell against Campas and Castillejo.

Tyson by far the king, for what he did in the ring.

Tyson did benefit for being a heavyweight though but that's not a big deal. He did what people want heavyweights to do.
