im not sure if we will see a better Cotto....i think Floyd and Pac for that matter bring out the best in fighters because of who they are.

    Cotto looks good at 154

at the end of one of the later rounds. HBO immediately replayed that part at the end of the round, and we see that Floyd mostly blocked that upper

You can count the number of times Floyd has been caught with uppers throughout his career on one hand

Thanks. This is round 10, at the :05 sec.
If that punch is the best example you've got...if that is your idea of outboxing someone...if that's the best you can do...:verysad

Cotto fought a determined fight. And i was surprised after the beating he took in the 4th and 5th round that he didnt quit. But his fans who are among the largest and loyal on this forum tend to exaggerate his work. Even the rounds he won, 3, 6,8 he took alot of punishment.

Cotto had some cockyness to him. Hed catch Mayweather with a jab and Mayweather would get pissed and chase him around and Cotto would show boat. But at the end of the day he took a beating.

As you can see. Diff between what Cotto was landing and what Mayweather was landing.

Cotto won 4 rounds in my eyes. Cotto's main arsenal were two punches: Left jab which landed most of time and a straight right to Floyd's stomach. Other than that Floyd's feet and shoulder roll did the job.

If anyone took a "beating" it was Floyd who looked like he got smacked by a team of Colombian drug lords in between rounds. "Tell us where is 50 sense!" :rasta

Floyd's nose like like a young Micheal Jackson in that fight... :hi:

He outboxed him in round 6.

I've actually been waiting for someone to make a gif of this moment ever since I saw the fight.

Love that clean jab, and the way Mayweather steps back like 'okay, that one got me'.

Hmmm such a strange and silly thread :huh

Mayweather didn't exactly win a UD by knocking Cotto down on multiple occasions did he ???
