Over at the scene, says would like to be more active than he is should be fighting every 2-3 weeks lol or atleast 10 times a year.

I think that is a bit to much this ain't the robinson era, he's fighting 4th time this year on July 7th. and probably have 2-3 more fights before the year is out so 6-7 a year is definitely enough. If your a talented fighter you dont need 60 fights before a title shot.

    I agree with him.

Ten times a year for the first two years is an excellent grounding.

In that time they can get him some orthodox, some southpaw, some tall, some short, some tough, some glass jawed, some boxers, brawlers, runners and area level bangers.... whilst gradually stepping up the competition.

If there's a slot on a show, grab it.

Eubank fought 10 fights in less than 12 months in '89-Jan '90. Didn't do him much harm.

He can just about achieve that with Mick i think?. Not sure how many more shows he has with channel 5 this year. If i was promoting him i'd put him on 2 off TV cards (other promotions) against decent fighters in there backyard as well. That wouldn't do him any harm either.

I think it's strange that it doesn't happen more often nowadays.
And I don't think they should be bums either, but a steady flow of slightly better opponents each time out

Channel 5's contract is for around eight Henessey shows a year so he'd have to fight on other cards (Goodwin?) to make good on his dad's promise.

I doubt any promoter would mind putting him on, the name alone will flog a few extra tickets.

8 fights a year would be amazing

Also if he loses it'll help limit the damage to his reputation- if hes on a non televised show

Why the hell sign with Mick then if you want Jr out 10 times a year?

The only promoter who could do that is Eddie Hearn.

great. experience is vital for a young fighter. especially someone like Eubank, ulimited potential but limited amatuer pedigree. Chris Eubank came up the hard way, if his son take note of what his old man is say he will go far

I agree, get the fights in at the beginning and learn instead of fighting 3 or 4 bums a year and learning nothing! and earning nothing!

Big Chris fought 2-3 times every month at one stage.....

    Good barometer.

I seen this in the paper this morning , along with other stuff he said about sending Jr to Angola , Cuba and Las Vegas learning his trade , a stark contrast to the statement put out about him by that bird in Las Vegas but hey , no ones business really

My point ................. Jr has done things the hard way , like his Father as a young pro , not like todays British fighters who do nothing but ***** at each other on Twatter , barring a small few

The template used to be simple for a young prospect , first 2 years , 2 fights a month , ****in hell , now your lucky to fight 3 times in a year , even as a prospect , the journeymen must be ****in skint !!! LOL
