Celestino Caballero vs. Mikey Garcia CANCELED

You think Caballero is the most exciting opponent for Garcia? :blood

It's got a bit of an open-wound, unfinished business feel to it because of all the drama...but think about their styles and how they'd play out in a ring.

Surely not more exciting than Garcia vs. Salido/Gonzalez/Ponce/John/Gamboa?

I'd say aesthetically it would be the LEAST satisfying match-up of all those available.

If true I'd imagine that means Caballero will be squeezing in a tuneup, since he was that worried about rust.

 

I guess Salido would make the most sense(and a nice fight)although I would like to see him whoop Caballero, that inconsistent *******.

 

The story mentioned that concern, but evidently Sampson(sp) talked him into the fight. He said that if Cab insisted on the Panama demand, would effectively kill the fight.

If I was Cab I would fight a warm up just to knock some rust off!!! If Caballero beats Garcia he needs to fight John!!!

 

Caballero last two fights he look very strong I think he is going to surprise Garcia!!

 

Caballero seems finished to me and I think him and his people know it.

Garcia makes him look downright amateur IMO. I don't think Garcia really needs that fight all that badly.

Nah, I knew this **** was too good to be true when it was "officially" announced. . That's why I still don't believe Pirog/Golovkin will happen until I see them standing face to face in the ring while the ref give instructions.
