Its funny how when any Rican takes a knee after a beating all you **** suckers mejicanos glow and make fun but when the shoe is on the other hand, you make all kinds of excuses. First, the head was not intentionally and it was not a hard one either. Second, the "low blow" was not really "low" and on top of that the glove hit did not connect in full force because it also hit his elbow, so discount that too. Third, Arce complaining about the zooming in his ears after that punch (which was thrown in a legal way because the ref had not intervened yet so its protect yourself at all times). I cant remember which fight it was that one guy had his ear hanging by a thread and he didnt stopped fighting, wtf! Now I will go on the record that Arce is indeed a proven warrior but that the whole thing did in fact looked suspect. And I cant fuking wait for the re-match. That boy Rojas reminded me a lot of Tito Trinidad....
I love the PR-Mexico rivalry and I knew that this thread would turn into something which mirrors that epic series of clashes. it's simply inevitable
@ the highlighted...considering the fact that your "Taino God" Rojas has a loss to a Mexican journeyman. Perma-ban it is then...and after Arce beats that pinche meco Rojas, i don't want your punk ass around here in an ALT. :yep
You mean like when Calderon took a knee to Segura, and it was in fact you Ricans turning his back on him, while some of us Mexicans were giving him props for his effort?? :think
Kermit is a shameful fighter. It was fear for Paul Williams that inspired that athletic leap out the ring. Worse display of No Mas, way worse than this Arce deal.
Maybe Jorge could have continued, but I didn't take all those fouls so I can't judge it too well. I give him the benefit of the doubt after all the damage I've seen him take and keep fighting. I know he's pissed and ready to get his W in the rematch though
He did a quit job. Induced the low blow, than gave up the back of his head. Watch any other fight when a fighter turns his back to his opponent, he'll cover up the back of his head with a glove instinctively. But Arce just gave it up after he exaggerated the low blow, probably wanted to lay down after that show but than got hit with the ear shot and found a better way out. Disgraceful and bad acting on his part.
That last shot was heavy and directly to his ears. He may have a ruptured ear drum as they claim it was.
How he was acting was a little funky to me... until they showed the replay. Headbutt, lowblow, hook to the ear... Best combo since Judah's Lowblow/Rabitt punch vs. Mayweather.
Just to clarify (not to argue) The last shot was to the ear, not the back of the head... and it was AFTER the ref said stop... making it an illegal blow. Bayless could have DQ'd Rojas, but decided to rule all 3 consecutive illegal blows unintentional :rofl Can't complain too much he's a great ref otherwise.
Given Arce's history of toughness and the seriousness of the blow to his ear (in addition to the previous fouls), I don't see how anyone can question Jorge here. Dude was ****ed up. I'm surprised Rojas didn't get DQ'd, because that seemed like too many consecutive fouls to be unintentional. Which is strange because Rojas was giving Arce everything he can handle, legitimately, following the knockdown.
