Randall Bailey's power is starting to get disgustingly over rated! Some people on this site are putting him in top 10 p4p hardest hitters lists and in some cases of severe ******s, above Julian Jackson!?! Let's get this straights, the KO of Mike Jones was impressive but largely down to the fact that Mike Jones has NO CHIN. None. At all. People act as if Bailey is the WW version of George Foreman, saying that nobody would be able to take the TWO SHOTS that Mike Jones took. They act as if it only takes Bailey ONE PUNCH to put a guys lights out. He has never KO'd a top fighter. If he had this insane power that everyone is going on about, he wouldn't have lost 7 times and went the distance 10 times. Also, anybody who knows **** about chins or even boxing for that matter will agree that Miguel Cotto was VERY chinny at 140lb. Well Bailey managed to hit a chinny Cotto at 140 several times before being destroyed by Cotto, and Cotto just walked through his best shots. Bailey is p4p #1 as far as hardest hitters in the sport and it's not because of the Mike Jones KO. He's been one punch KO'ing people more than anyone in the sport since 98. People been claiming he's the hardest one punch KO artists in the fgame for yearts.....No one else in the sport has the one shot power he has aside form maybe Wlad. He landed 2 significant shots vs Jones and both knocked him senseless. Jones does have a glass chin and he's awful thuough but it's nothing new for Bailey to be losing only to put someone on their ass with one shot. Bailey is shot to **** though and even though there's always a great chance for the big KO I never wanna see him again, he's one of the most boring fighters on earth to watch nowadays
I agree with most of this . . . I do not think you can claim that Jones has a completely glass jaw with a lose to Bailey. I get TS point that he could not get hurt Cotto at 140, as Cotto got buzzed by Torres at that weight. However, that was several fights after this fight and Cotto needed to move up because he had trouble making weight. The point is Bailey can put anyone lights out if he gets a clean shot. Its not really a great way to access someone based on someone with that type of 1 KO punch power. Besides, only newbies who really do not know **** base their thoughts on a fighter on whether or not you think they have a great chin.
At the time of this bout, Cotto was regarded as having a very sturdy chin. I'm not sure if it was in this particular fight or the N'Dou fight, but Jim Lampley said Cotto took punches like he was wearing a helmet. Cotto's chin wasn't an issue until he began to have extreme difficulties making weight.
Meaning guys with no Chins and no talent. His best wins are B-level at best and he has never blasted out a top-tier fighter. Ever. That is a Fact. I am not saying that he has no power, but this is the same story we've seen from guys like Shavers, Tua, and Peter. They blast out B-level and worse competition, fail to do the same against proper competition, and are still held up as epic, ATG punchers in spite of that because fans don't know **** about Punch Resistance. Mike Jones has a Glass Jaw and that is made crystal clear by the Fact that Cotto, who was Chinny at 140 and still doesn't have the best whiskers above that weight, walked through Bailey's best punches and ****ed him up. Two punches, a whopping total of TWO FLUSH PUNCHES, landed on Jones' Chin and levelled him. That is appalling. I, however, knew that he had no Chin long before this debacle because all of the evidence was there. The guy was inching up on thirty years-old and still moving through the ranks at a snail's pace fighting B-fighters and worse and when faced with anybody who could crack he was hesitant to engage. That was all I needed to know. Now, Bailey has proven the point. Jones has no Chin, no talent, and no future. None.
I was making two points: 1) he was hit by Bailey no mother **** Ishida 2) its stupid to base a quality of a fighter based of their chin and one performance

Jones has a glass jaw, RJJ is still on is prime, Bailey is featherfisted, Floyd is slow blah blah blah. If I need one punch from one fighter to ko another, Bailey is my man.

He got hit by two rockets. I'm not disagreeing that mike jones has no chin but hea not the only one. Those rockets knocked mike jones out but they would have put Khan on a ****in stretcher.
Aside from Bailey's power which may be getting slightly overrated now, you fail to mention that those were 2 perfectly timed and executed shots which Jones didn't see. Who wouldn't have gotten at KD'd off those shots? Bailey's power is legit.
