Chavez Weighs 165.5 As Of Wednesday Night

Good. Was worried about his weight in all honesty, looked a bit weary at the presser.

 

Solid weight, should weigh in on the button.

He rehydrates to crazy levels. Alot of guys are picking Lee, but honestly; Chavez gets better with every fight. He'll never be great, but he can be good.

 

He's cutting it close the weigh in is tomorrow.

Personally I disagree. Any fighter can be great if they have the will power and dedication to the sport. Hatton originally had the skills of a British level fighter at best but he worked his ass off to get too world class level. Is it likely that Chavez Jr will become a great fighter, no. However it certainly is out of the question.

 

Wonder how many diuretics he's taken this time. :think

 

He seems to be on track. Although I have no idea if 5 lbs over is usual for a day out from the weigh in.

I'm personally hoping it catches up with him on Saturday night and Lee demolishes him. Firstly, it can't be good for his body. Ballooning up and down has ended a lot of careers earlier than they should have. And especially since he's illegally using diuretics to get down to weight, which is bad for the liver. Secondly, lately he's been coming into a ring a ****ing light heavyweight on the night and muscling physically much smaller guys, massive weight advantage. It's bull****.

 

Saw him at his Vegas house and he was looking really slim. Was rocking the sideburns.

 

I havnt studied Lee but seen him fight of course. I like Chavez in this one but ima watch some Lee tonight so i can give a better assessment

 

i agree its not fair. If he fought any super middle or light heavy's he'd get beat bad IMO

 

5.5 lbs in less than 24 hrs? gonna be pretty close
