Does Vitali have one of the worst resumes of heavyweight champions?

But he's not what I would call a Klitschko hater at all. . I've seen him praise the brothers before. . .

Normally I avoid addressing the issue, cause it's simply bait thread. . . But since my dude Larry asked, I'll give my take.


The short answer, is yes - Vitali doesn't have a very strong "official" resume "on paper." However, the real answer, is that he should have a win over Chris Byrd (he blew his damn shoulder all the way out). . .

And as far as Lewis - well, we all know that Vitali was outboxing Lewis, and doing Lewis like he'd never been done before. . . Even when he got KO'd - Vitali was beating Lewis at his own game. . . Unfortunately, he got cut. . It happens, and by looking at his resume, it doesn't reflect what he really did.

So, while Vitali's resume, per se, might not be very strong, he is arguably the HEAD TO HEAD HW GOAT. . . Lennox Lewis ROBBED THE FANS of finding out who the "true" H2H GOAT was, by bitching out. . .

Quite simply, Vitali retired him. . .

 

so who was he supposed to fight after Lewis? fat hugger Ruiz? shot to **** Holy? shot Rahman? maybe Kali Meehan?

 

Sam Peter is only 31 years old and his career as a boxer is already over. He SUCKS.

Hasim Rahman is 40 years old and survived both the Lennox era and Klitschko era. Finished his career with 5 straight KO victories.

 

Holmes beat everyone in the divison 1-10 from 1978-1984. And he did it without sibling help...imagine that!

Vitali has never done anything close to this. The only time Vitali beat a fighter ranked higher than #3 was Corrie Sanders.

Vitaly's resume is pretty good. He came back after 4 year lay off and KOed the WBC heavyweight champion without even a tune up. It's unprecedented. Also, he beat a lot of very good top 10 fighters easily, and KOed most of them.

 

His resume isn't too bad, but he definitely should be ranked below Oaks...
