The guy is fighting guys from a smaller divisions. He is basically a cruiserweight facing super middleweights.

 

so.....do those supermiddleweights really belong in the welterweight division:think:smooch:roll:

Chavez will be a heavyweight fight night.

 

That's about right on point where u want to be. . . Maybe even a little LIGHTER if anything.

Usually boxers will simply "dehydrate" 10 pounds of water weight starting about 36, maybe 48 hours before the weigh-on by just sipping enough water, and eating only small handfuls of veggies, etc. . . .

Maybe Chavez starts a longer, more prolonged drained from about 96 hours out since he's so damn heavy.


He probably starts camp out around 190, and sheds about 5-7 pounds of "actual body mass" - then he just completely dries himself out. . .

Oh yeah. . . Is Chavez Jr. my long lost brother? Was my dad Sr.'s blood brother?

For these guys 5.5 lbs is nothing.

He'll hit the sauna hard, dry himself out a little and he'll be bang on 160.

Andy is a pretty big middleweight himself,I really dont see the 5-10 lbs being a major player in this fight.

thanks for clearing everything up for people here that dont know the cut. although i disagree about 10 pounds and think that is on the high side of it.

5 lbs 24 hours before weigh-in should be no problem unless he is already completely dehydrated.

if he comes in 2-3 pounds over, it is an intentional miss(castillo/corrales 2).

 

When you had that pic as your AV, i wanted to ask you if you were related to Jr in someway.

I always said he was an hype-job but he definitly improve in his last fights and could be a good boxers.

 

chavez came in on fight-night at 180 against both zbik and rubio.

the cw weigh-in limit is 200 lbs. and many cw's come in at 215 or higher on fight night.

to say that jr is a cruiserweight is something that is said without much thinking or forethought.

at best, jr is a smw(180 come fight night) and that is debateable as to how much of his 180 pounds is water and excess.

Chavez getting KO'd people said he already looked drained as hell, if that is true where is he gonna lose the extra weight from.
