    :huh

Those are not very good examples....Lewis punched a McCall that had his hands at his side and all McCall did was shake his head and take them. The stoppage had ZERO to do with McCall's Chin

Bute stopped Andrade with a bodyshot again, not a Chin issue....

    these are awful examples.

I don't understand anyone that would pick having power over a Chin. A Chin is the most important attribute for any fighter to have.

In a real fight having a chin doesn't mean **** since most fights end up on the ground and you're beaten senseless via other methods. I'd rather have 1 punch KO and end a fight in a few seconds.

    Ask David Lemieux.

    Rather a granite chin.

In my case, huge punching power without a doubt.

    A granite chin wouldn't help me much anyway cause;
I faint down the stretch (I need to stop my opponent early or need a equalizer later on).
I'm not from the US or Germany (I won't get any undeserved victories by standing upright to the end).

And most iron chinners end up with massive braindamage later on in their careers by taking too many punches. I rather am the one doing the hurting

Completely and verifiably false. The best 3 chins in boxing history are still alive today: Marvin Hagler, George Chuvalo and Jake LaMotta. All three talk like Harvard graduates.

It's the ones who don't have iron chins who end up with slurred speech. I'm sure you can think of the examples on your own.

This is a Boxing forum and we are talking about Boxing I don't care what scenario in a bar fight you come up with. Having a Chin is essential. Period.

One punch power no doubt. just work on your neck and make it stronger

Yes Rob, but you're from Europe(Aside from Germany), you don't need KO power to get undeserved victories, you need premature stoppage power.

You are the epitome of the reason that the ChinCheckers are on these boards, you know nothing about Chins. Nothing. First you claim that Randall Bailey can KO anybody with one punch despite the Fact that Cotto, who did not have the best Chin at 140 and still doesn't, ate several flush rights from him and now you claim that simply strengthening the neck can create a Cast Iron Jaw. I am sorry, but it does not work that way. Glass Jaws Exist in Boxing. When a fighter has one there is nothing one can do about it but learn to protect it.

But the thread asked if I would rather have one punch power and a questionable chin OR a granite chin and feather fist.

a questionable chin isn't a glass chin. in fact there is a large difference between having a questionable chin, like say Cotto, than a glass chin like say, Kirkland

If my chin is questionable, i do exercises to strengthen my ability to absorb punishment, mainly neck and shoulders in order to absorb the shock from a punch
