Brunet Zamora is going all the way to Russia to face European champion Denis Shafikov for his EBU crown next Thursday, Very interesting fight, Zamora nearly blew it a couple weeks ago in a stay busy fight verses Santos Medrano, What can you say he looked past him, Shafikov and Zamora got a draw back in 2010, But I think Shafikov is looking the best he ever has right now, He recently got a huge win to Irishman Lee McAllister in his homeland by stoppage, before that he bet another Italiano Giuseppe Lauri by stoppage also in Round 8, Keep in mind how horribly shot Lauri has looked lately though, Don't believe PRIME Lauri would have been that easy, Anyways hope you tune in on Russia TV 2, Not Italian TV details yet.

Remember - Zamora will face Denis Shafikov this Thursday in Russia for Shafikov's Euro title. I don't see any coverage on Sportitalia or Rai Sport listed but I'll tell you if I do, Rossiya 2 in Russia will.

    Indeed. Thanks for the post.

Hoping to see Fragomeni vs Branco 2 this fall, That was a FOTY canadate and the guys are 42 and 46 I believe. Wow man. :bbbIt was a draw, Branco threw well from the distance but Frago was trying to pressure him and land his body shots, He had to jump to hit Branco's face. Rumors are floating around but nothing confirmed.

Fight alert: July 14th one of Italia's best fighters Leonard Bundu returns from his big body shot KO win to prospect AND Nephew of Italian legend Giacobbe Fragomeni, Antonio Moscatiello earlier this year to face domestic fighter Stefano Castellucci, This should be one of them fights between guys on 2 different levels, seeing how Bundu already beat a great fighter in Daniele Petrucci, who was supposed to be the next great italiano fighter I think he will make easy work of Stefano Castellucci who is coming off a loss to an unknown Serbian fighter named Nikola Stevanovic by stoppage.

Unbeaten lightweight Massimiliano Ballisai will try for the vacant WBA Inter-Continental title today against the tough & well-traveled Dominican journeyman Felix Lora. Any time now. On SI2. :thumbsup

Lora can spoil a party, having held then unbeaten Polish prospect Krszytof Szot to a draw and then knocking him out in the rematch...and shut out another unbeaten Polish prospect in Krzystof Cieslak. He also held Danish contender Martin Kristjansen to a draw, and has gone the distance with many prospects and contenders (including Kevin Mitchell a few months ago, and Devon Alexander early in his career)

    Big step up for Ballisai.

I wonder why Ballisai's IBF Mediterranean title wasn't on the line? Lora is from Dominica but currently based out of Spain, so he should be eligible to compete for the Mediterranean.

I didn't see it and don't even know what time it went down...was unable to find a...uh, ahem...my shoes. That's the ticket. Couldn't find my shoes. :D
