I've just watched the 'Klitschko' film, really good, not what I was expecting, even my girlfriend enjoyed it! It's currently available on Amazon for £6.97; bargain at this price IMO.
It's not, I promise! The film really clearly shows where their sense of dedication and loyalty comes from. I would recommend this to any boxing fan; love them or hate them one has to acknowledge their unique achievement, and the odds on two brothers becoming heavyweight world champions and dominating the division at the same time again are pretty slim................. So no! It's not a bit gay! It's actually quite inspiring:good
If it mentions Vitali's steroid abuse, the prevalence of drugs within the Soviet system, Vitali quitting, Vitali's disgusting actions towards Sanders, Wlad's allegations towards Souza, the three fight contracts, offering someone like Sosnowski twice as much as Tua, the refusal to offer fair amounts of money to their opposition, Wlad's performance against Ibragimov which got boxing banned in NY and heavyweight boxing banned from HBO etc., then I'll give it a watch. If it's just about them being great humanitarians and classy, fair competitors, I'd rather watch paint dry.
:dealI generally stick to Blu Ray myself, but it was staying at around the £15 mark, the DVD suddenly dropped to £6.97, too much of a price difference to ignore! It is a great looking film though, even on DVD, so I imagine it must look stunning on Blu Ray! It mentions more of the above (negative wise) than you'd expect to be honest. Don't get me wrong, it's about making the brothers look good so it will only go so far, but it doesn't completely avoid some of the more controversial elements of their careers........... On balance it is most definitely better than watching paint dry!
