I dont think they have anybody lined up but if he needs to go up he needs to go up. Anybody in the top 10 would beat the **** out of Sergio
It likely says he doesn't respect Chavez if he'd be willing to give up that much weight. Top Rank knows that if Chavez moves up to 168 he's a big enough name that he won't have to fight any big names and still make great money and pick up some WBC crap belt.
They're under no obligation to fight Martinez, but it's a little inaccurate to portray Martinez as demanding they move up when he's challenging them at weights they've fought at within the past two years (and for Floyd, at a weight lower than where his last fight took place).
Bika? Johnson? Really? C'mon. Chavez will fight more handpicked opponents at 168 just like he has been at 160 while avoiding all other champs
have you seen the top 10 at smw? have you seen jr fight? there are two outcomes for jr. if he moves up to 168. he either gets a) ko'd b) tko'd c) combination of a and b d) all of the above
But he's not demanding they move up in weight which you asserted in your comment. Are you also outraged at Dawson not taking on a cruiserweight in his next fight? I'd also note he's been challenging bigger people on a regular basis as well since pretty much everyone he's fought at middleweight save Dzinziruk has been bigger than him (as of course is Chavez).
the problem with this is that you are comparing the competition of 160 to that of 168. you simply cannot do that.
