He's got solid hand speed and pop but he's been on the ground twice before. I don't know what kind of chin he has!

Thought Maidana said he would go back, and stay, at lww.

Figured it was just an excuse. He probably has a very hard time making lww now days.

Guess this kid Thurman trying to make it at ww to avoid "Boo Boo"(Demetrius Andrade) at lmw, who beat him in the Olympic trials.:D

I'd be surprised if this fight happens. Thurman is a nice prospect but would be taking a huge leap if he were to face Madaina. He would be going from 6 and 8 round fights to facing a top 5 guy at his division.

The fight probably happens at welterweight which would benefit Thurman but its a big step up and a lot of credit to him if he does face Madaina.

i dont think so. seems to me thurman has adapted to the pro's better than boo boo has.

some fighters are just built better for the ams while other suit the pro's

I'm going to be looking forward to this one. I'm not sure who takes it but it's gonna be one hellavu fight. Time to see if Maidana's new trainer has improved him.

Then he should have no trouble with Maidana.

I guess we'll see. This guy is 2 weight classes bigger than Maidana.

I don't think this guy is ready for Maidana but I also don't like Maidana at 147. Thurman is a big guy. Much bigger than Maidana. His fight on the Floyd/Cotto undercard was at 150. A lot of his fights are at catchweights wtf is up with that??
