Castillo vs Mayweather 1. What a Robbery !

    By looking at how cmmentators had Castillo winning this fight scoring
    105 to 102 in the 12 round, and looking at the punch statistic, which agrees with
    the commentators score, it was clear that Castillo defeated Floyd. Just watch
    round 12 if you don`t want to watch the whole fight. Pay attention at the scoring
    and the punch statistics. What is your opinion ?

    Punch statistics from Compubox?

    Fight is scored on a round by round basis.

    I gave Floyd the first 5 rounds. (Some people scored the third for Castillo. Not sure how).

    No way Castillo swept the last 7.

    But I understand this fight will be disputed by some people. I still had it for Floyd by 3 points.

    I have come to the understanding that this fight suddenly became a robbery around 08/09 when the whole "ducking" fiasco started.

    So, you give no credit to some people who scored the third round for Castillo ? Don`t you give credit to the statistic either ?

    I have a copy of this fight that I watch every now and then. You cannot score this fight easily for one or the other. It was that close.

    This is true... Lets not forget mayweather was injured in this fight and proved it shutting out castillo in the rematch

    The rematch was a close fight. I saw Floyd winning it but I saw Castillo winning the first bout.

    The rematch wasn't close if you ask me. It was competitive but Castillo was far from even getting a draw.

    Close fight. I don't see how it was a robbery. I had Floyd winning by 2 points. Floyd swept the first five rounds then Castillo came back strong. 114-112 for Floyd. Rounds 8 and 10 were even on my card.

    Floyd won the second fight very clearly IMO.

    seriously this fight has been beat into the ground, its ten years old now, its time for us to start getting over it, I guess people want to see a blemish on Floyds record, so just give him the one loss if it makes you feel better.
