This is a very tough fight for Adamek and I think it will be very close. Adamek dominated? Adamek was in some close fights against Banks and Cunningham but only time he was dominated was against Vitali due to size and against Dawson at LHW (still he managed to win 3 rounds and dropped Dawson). Dawson and Vitali are much better skill wise than Chambers.

 

This is a great HW fight. It's not on UK tv though isit? Think Chambers will out hustle Adamek, weigh in isn't promising for the poles, everyone knows speed is the key in this matchup.

No, I'm not exaggerating. Adamek coulnd't stop McBride (FFS he had never gone 12 rounds before!) or Grant who are both proper glass chins. His power is useless especially in this particular match up. Chamber's chin is very solid.

People like you with limited knowledge can only judge power based on number of KOs. There are other aspects, like knocking people down or wobbling or hurting them or even getting their attention and making them gun shy.

Adamek didnt KO Grant or McBride who were knocked out before by lesser opponents but both Mcbride and Grant were scared to attack and risking getting caught. Adamek has respectable power and this fight will be close just like Chambers vs Povetkin who also doesnt have big power but respectable power just like Adamek.

 

You mean the one time LHW cant KO guys who outweigh him by 80lbs and outsize him by 6 inches?I never considered Adamek a power puncher at LHW or CW.He was/is a boxer puncher with boxer coming first.He never forced KO's during his career he worked his game plan and if his opponent fell over then fine if he didnt Adamek usually had the edge on points.

Love how the haters are always so hung up on his lack of HW power all while ignoring the fact that he wins fights by outlanding/outworking and outhustling opponents.

 

I'm not sure about that. I fear that he'll end up the way Byrd did...when you can take a HW punch like Eddie can, you're possibly better off at HW because Eddie's real strength is his speed and defense, which most HW's that aren't Wlad can't match.

 

He is 202 pounds.... He can just sweat it off by sleeping.
Even at 208 he is a cruiserweight.

I think this low weight bodes well for Eddie. I have been saying for years that high weight is one of the most overrated factors in boxing. Bigger is not always better. Old school fighters knew this. I hope Eddie proves me right by being sharper, faster, and more active. That said, Adamek is no slouch. He comes to fight in shape, is a very nice boxer with ring generalship, speed and footwork, keeps an active pace, has shown a solid heavyweight chin, and has plenty of experience. But I think with Adamek carrying extra weight and Chambers carrying less, that just might make the difference. Eddie is fast and has a really nice sharp right hand, and decent defense as well. So I anticipate an interesting and clever boxing match.
