Stopped due to ******. Its when the ringside doctor has been called and has declaed the boxer clinically ******ed.
ReTireD. It means the fighter or their corner withdrew from the match, as opposed to it being stopped by the doctor/commissioner/ringside physician. Note: if the corner enters the ring during the action, it's a disqualification. They can only withdraw a fighter between rounds while they're on their stool. If it's mid-round they have to throw in the towel to signal an end, and even then the towel-throwing itself isn't considered the end to the match. The referee upon seeing the towel will call an end, making it a TKO. Likewise, if a fighter turns his back and quits in the middle of the round it's a TKO for his opponent (or a DQ if he just turns his back and walks away, or exits the ring - ref's discretion which to rule it as). If he quits on his stool it's an RTD.
