You are correct. That is why I also have my doubts on Rigos chin. Once he went down he was just too careful. He might be hiding china under there....
he might, you never know. I was surprised of mares not taking down Vic who is wide open for a left hook( tailor made for Rigo)he fought a more difficult fight than i expected.Against Agbeko-the second fight, the first was a disgrace-Mares looked very sharp but still shy with his punches.
ROFL, saul_ir34 and Kid Cubano trying to one up each other in their nationalism. Saul takes about Mares only because he is a mexican, Cubano talks of Rigo because he is Cuban. When Cubano mentions that Mares chin is not tested, Saul brings up examples of how his chin is tested and it is Rigo who has the untested chin. Then Cubano talks about how Mares struggled with a past prime Vic who was open all night, who Rigo, would beat easy since he has a better left hook. And how Mares is shy with his punches. On another note, Mares looks like a Puerto rican... honestly.
love both fighters but Rigo would outbox him. If he's not iron willed Mares will expose that though!!! You got be a warrior to beat Mares cause he ain't letting up.
Mares low blows will be negated by Rigo's height so he loses one of his best weapons there. Rigo by a beatdown.
I think Rigondeaux beats Mares, but come on, use COMMON SENSE, Mares was a boy fighting a man in the amateurs. Amateur fights aren't really that important to use all the time because you might have a 26 year old man fighting a 16 year old boy. That's why Cuba dominates olympic boxing, not because of skill but because most NEVER turn pro and they are grown men fighting boys.
¿ Did you know that ALL Cuban elite amateur boxers win their World and Olympic Titles in their late teens ( Rigondeaux=19 ) early 20's ? . Go watch this summer Olympics and look at their average age you envious moron then comeback at me . I'll be waiting .
