Mayweather is unquestionably the most popular figure and boxing. And who knows maybe in the next year as his alliances outside of boxing with high caliber main stream stars, he could be one of the most popular sportsmen period. Its really crazy how a technical defensive fighter from Grand Rapids was able to achieve what he's been able to achieve not just in the ring but out. Floyd is alot smarter then people give him credit for. A real keen business sense.
*****s are not too bright about anything concerning their hero. I once had a ***** arguing that Floyd was a bigger fight seller than Ali because he sold more PPV's atsch They don't understand how technology & changes in Boxing impact PPV numbers and compare apples with oranges.
boxing has been there way before he was born and it'll still be there when he expires. remember that when he was retired manny was the new boxing icon now you have guys like Donaire, Broner, Alvarez, etc
are you kidding me oscar made both floyd and pac who they are today. look at floyds ppv numbers before he boxed oscar they were no where they are today. and you really can't compare todays numbers with numbers 15 years ago cause then people had scrammblers that many people had and were stealing cables and with that oscar and tito still did over 1 million buys
