Very close fight. Watched for the 2nd time and saw Bradley landing a lot more than i thought. Too bad he is feather-fisted. I think Bradley may have won based on Pac's laziness to wait until the final minute to begin fighting then not really taking the round descisively anyway. Waaay closer fight. Ut manny was the aggressor and landed the harder blows. Based on that, i think jerry roth had the right scorecard. Pac wins
DannyBoy1 called it, No more immediate scoring! Judges, after a fight, should now go to a dark room, and watch the fight again before submitting their scorecards.
I do think that Bradley's body punches had a slight impact on how Manny looked a bit gassed out throughout the fight.
If Bradley was a sharper puncher, he would have made some impact with the few punches that he landed in spurts.
On replay, I actually have a draw or Bradley winning by a round. There were some very tough rounds to score.
I have to watch it again without the sound. But as far as Roach urging Pac to win by KO like someone said, that's just Roach wanting a KO...he always does. Why leave it to the judges? Plus, it's great for rep. and great for H.L. And opponents that don't get knocked out, like in other cases when opponents in history have faced big "Name" KO fighters and gone the distance...its a victory in itself because they survived. They won in a different way.
anyone giving bradley 5 rounds let alone 6 rounds are wearing timmy goggles and are trying to give him all the possible close rounds (plus some bonus rounds) where he was not dominated.
Focuss... Now read the post again :good Not sure but i doubt the judges had HBO's finest ramming the gospel of Pacman in their ear.
believe this is my 4th time watching the fight and im still looking for this "close" fight people are referring to. still got it 9-3 pacquaio
Yes. Much closer than I initially thought. In fact, watching the replay very closely, and I mean VERY closely, I had Bradley winning 115-114. 5th round was even, Bradley swept the last three. But in the 9th, Bradley looked ready to go. I think Pacquiao could have put him down, or even KO'd him. Not sure why he held back. So like I said, I did score t for Bradley the second time around, but I don't blame anyone who thinks Manny won. Lederman's scorecard was ridiculous, though.
1 - Bradley 2 - Bradley 3 - Pac 4 - Pac 5 - Even 6 - Bradley 7 - Pac 8 - Pac 9 - Pac 10 - Bradley 11 - Bradley 12 - Bradley 6 rounds to Bradley, 5 to Pac, 1 even, 115-114 Bradley.
