Lee does not move and throw the jab after round 3. He could keep the distance if he would. But Lee go for the brawl and lost like he did against Vera. Very sad Andy Lee does not learn from his mistake.
They were in a smaller ring so maybe he couldn't keep Chavez off him. They picked lee because he's a guy to look good against, he starts strong but slows half why through the fight. I guess is was just a matter of time, he should have still tried to get on his bicycle he was looking good the first two rounds. Chavez threw no jabs and just walked in on lee and went to work on the inside. I give Chavez credit for the win, but with a guy with real foot movement how would he look?
I haven't even seen the fight yet. But its pretty much a given that if a fighter can't hear and listen to his trainer, he needs a new trainer. Period.
all things being equal, Lee would have done better - but this is Jr Cheatez, this is Texas and this is uncle Bob
The truth is - if you don't understand and respect the courage, fitness and focus it takes just to be in a ring, never mind perform well within one - you shouldn't be allowed to post about it. Someone take this man off the internet.
I have never understood fighters that block punches with their face. There is no point in even Boxing if you are not going to try and move your head just a little bit.
Andy Lee's record speaks volumes doesn't it  Every guy he's fought before Chavez are all terrible and journeyman. He was hyped up as a top opponent so Top Rank can continue to try and make some sort of legacy and nurture his career. He was distinctly average at best. I guess they've waited the right time to fight Martinez. Chavez can take his steroids and weigh in 180 pounds and comfortably overwhelm Martinez with his strength and bodyshots to unhinge him.
Being one of the 10-20 top middleweights in the world does not make you a bum. I'm sure the thread starter is an ATG at what he does for a living.
