First off the commentating was HORRIBLE! BJ Flores is an idiot. Chambers was BARELY throwing. Lost all that weight and still is a LAZY SOB. Why doesn't he actually throw punches, he would have actually won easily!! Great story - the fighting with one hand and all though, showed a ton of heart, but definitely NOT enough for the win
I had Adamek winning rounds 4-6, round 8 or 9 (I forgot which) and aslo the 12th. Many of the rounds were close though. I had Chambers winning 7 rounds to 5. The only reason it was that close was the injury to Chambers arm, which says a lot about the adaptibility, defensive skill & counterpunching ability of Chambers. Imagine if Chambers didn't injure his arm..............
Let's be real here. Anyone complaining about Fat Eddie's output is about as stupid as Adamek and his corner. How could you not see Eddie looking down at his arm the moment he injured it? And how could you not see him throw a grand total of ZERO left hands after that point? deal:deal For those of you who didn't watch it, This content is protected Eddie threw zero left hands after Round 1, and still managed to outland a guy who outweighed him by 23 pounds.atsch This fight showed just how pathetic this Adamek truly is. Chambers would switch to southpaw to throw a few right jabs, then switch back to throw a few overhand rights and power punches. Then he would switch back to southpaw again when he felt the need to jab again. For ELEVEN ****ing rounds????
I thought Adamek did enough to take the 6th and the 9th, other than that he was thoroughly outclassed. On the other hand you certainly have to admire Chambers's heart. He could very well have quit and would in my book have had good reason to, instead he put trust in his defence and economical precise punching to really give Adamek something to think about. Adamek has always struck me as a nice and honest guy even if I don't think he has the necessary heart to compete with the top operators at heavyweight. Hopefully he can use this chance to take on Povetkin or Wladimir, and use Eddie's inspiring display of heart to avoid another pathetic and almost cowardly performance like he did against the declining Vitali to go for broke and actually try to take a belt. He certainly has a well rounded skill level to at least do better than some previous belt challengers, the only thing letting him down is his heart. Should he actually win a belt I think Adamek is a good enough human being to put a healthy Chambers at the front of the queue when it comes to defending that title. If he doesn't win then hopefully he can redeem himself from the atrocious performance he put in against Vitali.
OK, I just watched it, admittedly on a rather **** upload, but I had it for Adamek. Loads of close rounds and in my opinion any card is fair. I thought 5,6,7,8,9 and 12 were all weird and close and could have gone either way. I had it 7-5 to the Pole. I want to urge caution on writing this off as a robbery, at least until more media cards are available or correlated.
I'm an Adamek fan but he was CLEARLY outclassed by Chambers. He never hurt Chambers all night, never really landed anything clean and hard on Fast Eddie. The vast majority of Adameks' punches were blocked by Chamber....you give credit for the defence, not for a meek output of blocked punches. Adamek (or his corner) had NO IDEA how to counter Chambers lead right hand....Adamek looked confused, clumsy and ineffective all night. Yes, Chambers' style is annoying (especially if you're the guy trying to hit him) and yes, neither guy should be at HW, but he beat Adamek, and easily. The 119-109 score was WORSE than the judges 115-113 score for Bradley. ****ing joke this was. No US fans should criticise German judging after this travesty.
I actually thought they might score it a draw myself even though I had Chambers winning 7-5. It certainly wans't a robbery but the that one judge should never be allowed to score a fight again. :nono
Horrible scoring but if you have not learned by now one out three judges always seem to complelty see something totaly different than everyone else. Judging in boxing definetly needs to be reformed.
The fight was closer than that wide score by one of the judges, but this was no "robbery". Not as bad as the Pac-Bradley decision. TA looked like he took a step back in that fight. This is not the Adamek that beat Areola, Grant, etc. As for Chambers, maybe he needs to fight as a CW - those slaps and facial expressions will not beat most top HWs. A 45-50 y/o K bro most likely would beat what we saw last nite from those two :yep
It was horrible, Ruskull. A draw might not have been as ugly, but Adamek did not win that fight, we all know he did not.
