Andy Lee: "JCC Was So Strong I Couldnt Move Him"

Lee has never fought Sergio to say if Chavez can beat him. I would have thought more about that comment had he actually fought him. Lee at this point was overrated. Great win for Chavez that is for sure, but it does expose Lee as a guy who was built up to being a better boxer than he was.

 

True they have never fought inside a ring...
But have worked eachothers camps & have sparred numerous times.
(granted its not like actual combat Ect.. But a fighter can gauge a training partners strengths & weakness during a session)

 

Yeah Lee strikes me as the kind of guy who can do everything you want in training exactly how you want it....then come fight night he just loves to brawl it out and the gameplan goes out the window - which has to really get Manny pissed because Lee can box. It's gotta be frustrating training a guy like that, regardless of talent level. And I'm a Lee fan.

 

This exactly. No boxer without some real power at 160 will keep this kid from doing what he wants. I haven't seen that kind of monster in the ring in quite a while. He's really come into his own and he is going to be very dangerous to anybody and I think he beats up Martinez badly in the second half of that fight.

 

No **** you couldn't move him, he's almost a CW FFS.

jr. weighs-in at 160. if he can gain 20 pounds between fight night, more power to him and he shouldnt be penalized. and there are no cw's that come in on fight night at 180. smws at best.
