Mayweather sees exactly what everyone else sees. a fighter that doesnt make 10% of what he does nor bring in near the $$$ he does yet he demands 50/50. paq and his team are, were and always will be scared shitless of a Floyd fight. the only reason they even pretend to entertain the fight as a possibility is because floyd will give him 4/5x his largest payday ever BUT team paq is scared of ruining paq lagacy. the one sided drubbing floyd puts on him will be so one sided it'll really hurt paqs legacy. tko by round 10 and paq will have been dominated every round in a really really bad and sad way. but arum might cash him out someday soon

Maybe I have made a mistake, but not a big as you calling me a "Hardcore Mp fan" unless you were using this in a different context to illustrate a point :huh. I think most would consider me quite the opposite and certainly a supporter of Floyd. I haven't even watched Pac-Bradley (apart from round 7 I think) and I've been appalled by the commentating and disgraceful compubox numbers on favour of Pac. I'll do my best to put together a brief breakdown of the fight. The first round would be very tentative. This would be the biggest fight in the modern era of boxing, so we can accept the fact they'd both be nervous. We could probably expect a pretty even round maybe with Mayweather landing a few straight rights and the odd flurry from manny, but nothing too significant. As they get a feel for each other in the early rounds we would see floyd slipping a lot of mannys punches with not much landing, while mayweather pot-shots too an extent bagging a few rounds. With the butterflies pretty much gone, PAC would begin to open up a lot more and try and put some real pressure on may, but with limited success. Pacs jab is pretty poor in my eyes and would miss wildly reaching with a lot of his punches while mayweather either slips the punches or counters with the straight right or a short left hook. I'm aware that the crowd may play a role in some of the rounds, as well as mannys tendency to look like he's landing when in actual fact his punches are doing the opposite. Through 4 the scores are pretty close although on a mutual fans card that is well educated would have mayweather up 39-37 ish. I feel the middle rounds would be where PAC has a real go. Although mayweather copes with the pressure pretty well, the sheer volume of pac's punches would lead to greater success than the earlier rounds. The jab becomes a bit more effective and the hooks to the body start to land. Mayweather would not be effected by much but good clean combos by PAC start to score some points and may take a few rounds on the trott. This, however is where mayweathers adapting skills kick in. Floyd starts to become a little more aggressive and while manny attempts to trade while floyd gets more aggressive and wins the inside battle comfortably, as pac would miss wildly with clean shots landing for Floyd. May at this point is fairly comfortably up on the scorecards, 88-83 or so. Floyd has a breather in the 10th and Pac tries to seize the opportunity. He pushes mayweather back and although mayweather's shoulder roll is one of the best of all time, he gets backed up and caught with some fairly big shots. He weathers a very minor storm and comes out fresh for the 11th, pot shooting from the outside as PAC struggles to cut of the ring and mayweather once again easily avoids his punches and lands some big shots within the last minute or so wobbling manny and gets him in some trouble. The 12th is almost a repeat of the 11th as Mayweather (as we saw with Marquez and Cotto) doesn't need to risk going for the KO as he genuinely respects manny and coasts to the final bell. Floyd wins a fairly comfortable UD 117-111, however the judges may see it a little closer with manny's flashy combos and the crowds excitement whenever he throws, but everyone sees Floyd as the clear winner and shows why he is the p4p no.1 Just read this back and in all fairness it could have been a lot more technically based, but I'm tired so I genuinely can't be ****ed to go back and fill bits in
Wait what? He timed Cotto's jab all night. Things that I would've put in Pac's favor aside from power- the footspeed, angles and deceptive rhythm. Floyd has the more efficient footwork but Pacquiao's lateral movement is nothing to scoff at. Lead foot positioning is very important on the approach and Pacquiao knows all about this; whether he'd be able to employ it against Floyd is different but Floyd applies his footwork differently than Juan does. One thing that never gets let down is that Pacquiao can't cut off a ring- I noticed that he has an innate desire to want to square up with his opponents; I don't know if this stems from not wanting to hit them on the back of the head or what, because if you look at the sasakul and ledwaba fights, when they're retreating while hurt they will turn their bodies away from Pacquiao, and Pacquiao's response is to physically move to square back up with them. A technical fault but respectable, I don't like rabbit punchers anyway The angles have been touted over and over by fans but many can't explain much beyond that (and detractors just say what anglez, floyd jes counter em)- when timing a punch you have to take note of the speed, body language prior to initiation, dissecting between feints and fishing for punches, what might follow it; to box is to be able to control as many factors as you can, and Pacquiao's weird ass style throws a wrench in many analyses to the point where guys end up chalking it up to a-side meth lol. One reason for Juan's growing success aside from Pacquiao's tendency to become more technical as of late, is that Juan's been in front of Pacquiao for a full 24 rounds (prior to the 3rd fight) so he knows exactly how those punches look/feel like in person. Floyd is great at adaptation but so is Juan, and it took 3 fights (and years of scrutinizing Pacquiao's style) to finally beat Pacquiao convincingly as he was beginning to contain the beast more and more. A very underrated factor in Pacquiao's arsenal is his cadence, or broken rhythm. One thing that I've seen time and time again is Pacquiao's ability to throw a punch when the opponent is LEAST expecting it, whether it be in the middle of a combination where he'd back off for a split second, and the opponent thinks he's done and resets/undoes his guard, and bam he jumps back in with another unsuspecting shot (or combo). He did this against Barrera, he did this against Cotto. He did this against Clottey over and over again forcing Clottey to be in permablock mode because he didn't know wtf was going on (and when was it "his turn" to punch lol). Another fighter I noticed that likes to do this kind of thing is Bhop. Ill type more later gotta bail

I've broken this fight down a million times, before you were here, before Bogo was here, and I've debated this topic with you and made my points, and the best you can ever do is hurl insults or resort to trolling. Every point your making on this subject has been done, tossed around, and regurgitated a million times already. Your not going to change anybodys opinion and nobodies going to change yours , so why bother? Plus, Cotto lazily jabbing while Pac threw his money punch didn't help. The few times they actually jabbed together, Pac got hit as well. Cotto just really looked like **** that night. Still a great win for Pac. Also, if it wasn't for the knockdowns in the first fight, Marquez would have beat Pacquiao comfortably in the first fight. It didn't take Juan the whole fight to figure Pacquiao out. That's a BS excuse. Juan doing so well in the 3rd fight cause he already had so many rounds in w/ Pacquiao.

I don't think you can understate how important Pacquiao's power would be in this fight. You can almost analyze a fight too much because even though a defensive/attacking, southpaw/orthodox type fight brings up lots of intriguing questions, there is still the raw nature of a vicious sport to be considered: Could Mayweather handle such power? People can say "oh, Pacquiao would have some success with the left but..." and that kind of overlooks the obvious. If Pacquiao has any success, how would Mayweather handle it? I don't think he is anywhere near as aware of southpaw punches as he is of those coming at him from an orthodox angle, so would he be able to take them? He's never faced a sharp, accurate, fast, hard puncher like Pacquiao in his life and yet he's been hurt by guys like Judah, who were nowhere near as big punchers. Whilst I don't think you can place too much emphasis on power alone, I don't think it should be discarded either. A Pacquiao knockout over Floyd was a very possible outcome. This isn't my argument, by the way. I have no interest in debating this again. However, it's a comment aimed at those who simply disregard power. It is very relevant.
