Imagine the buildup to chavez vs martinez, because all the bad blood, even chavez sr talking junk and now compare that to how boring the buildup to alvarez vs ortiz will be.

    Margarito is his PAPÍ

Gif coming to illustrate why :D

Chavez Jr. is going to have QUEERGIO holding on to his belt loop, calling him DADDY.

No, the fans know Canelo will most likely outclass Ortiz. Jr, on the other hand, needs to pull a miracle and he's more in,danger of losing than Canelo.

    maybe.

but chavez jr. fighting a top 3-4 p4p fighter? for a REAL championship belt?

if i only had to choose one fight , chavez-martinez is the one i'm ordering.

i'm pretty sure a lot of people feel the same way especially mexicans and mexican-americans.

gbp will blink. they have to.

Can will destroy ortiz, especially at 154lbs,ortic can barely take a jr welterweight punch and now all of a sudden he is a super-fighter,hasn't ortiz been knocked down in his last 3 fights.

The Promoters need to fix this because its bad for boxing to have two PPV on the same date. They need more separation between big events.

Sergio vs. Canelo would have been a better matchup for Sergio because size wise, he closer to those that fight at jrMW. But fighting Chavez Jr. with all the history and giving up the size advantage is going to make for a great event.

    we'll see.

    i think i'm right though.

ortiz vs. canelo is a HBO wcb fight imo.

chavez jr. against a top p4p and a lineal championship? that's ppv stuff.

sometimes fighters going up can take a better punch.

especially big guys who was cutting a lot of weight in the lower divisions.

something about weightdraining that makes them weaker chinned.

a good example is cotto. now cotto doesn't have a granite chin at 147-154 but it's solid. he was easier to stun/hurt at 140.

lol at all the people thinking Chavez is a lock to beat SSM.
Whether GBP move the date or not, I hope Martinez does go back down and beats on Canelo.
It's really the fight he should be going after once he's done with Chavez.
Take away the best option for Mayweather, Cotto so they have to fight him
